Jon
I have not forgotten you. Work has been off the wall and going camping this weekend
But I will be back to you on this.
Your Toy hauler WD hitch is not setup optimal and your receiver does not look right. It may be pic point of view, but your hitch shank has some really upward tilt to it. Partly do to the flared opening.
And from the pics' it does look flared open at the top. That must really flop on a non WD towing setup of a light utility trailer or something.
I'll attempt to get a pic up with some things to look at before I go out this weekend. If not it will be next week and most likly as Friday I'm camp ground bound. I have measured the 1,200# Reese spring bars for force and can tell approx how much you are lifting by the amount of load up you put on them.
Some where in all this, a trip to the truck scales to really tell what is going on will be in order. It's only like $8 to $10 bucks and if you talk with them and tell them you need to make adjustments, they some times do not charge for a reweigh until you leave the yard.
You need 4 weight sets. All axles by axle. Use a 3 scale truck scale
TT and TV hitched WD bars on. Leave the air bags down to almost nothing for this.
TT and TV hitched NO WD bars on. Leave the air bags down to almost nothing for this.
TV only. Leave the air bags down to almost nothing for this.
TT and TV hitched WD bars on. This time put the air bags on where ever you tow with it.
Note: Use enough air to make sure you do not pinch the bags in the springs. Record the air reading
From these 4 weights sets all axle by axle. TV front, TV rear and both TT axles, we can figure out exactly what is going on at the axles, the hitch and the receiver. These readings will always shock you. Stuff just adds up.
More later
John
