underneath screw molding along roof edge

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of screws they used under the screw molding along the top of the roof and if there is any sealant applied or trick to putting new ones in? I found some of the screws rusted there and I am concerned water might be leaking in. It is where the rubber roof is pulled over the sides and under the gutters. Also, how is the molding attached to the end of the gutter? The molding that was on our 1999 25-foot Solaris had cracks in it, so I was going to replace it, but found it attached to the ends of the gutters, and was hesitant to take it off. Then I found the screws rusted out underneath the molding. Also, where can you get gutter extensions? When it rains, water runs on top of the side windows, and is rusting out the window frames. My husband works so much these days, he has little time for investigation, so even as limited as I am as far as mobility, I try to get him pointed in the right direction. Any thoughts and help would be appreciated. Ronny

All I can help you with is the gutter ext. Camping World carries them and any trailer dealer should have them. I mounted the gutter extensions and place a clothes pin onto them to get the water to run away from the side of the trailer.

As for the screw and sealant question, I am sure the "technicians" of this group will answer up soon.
