Kitchen upgrade ideas
I saw John B mention a kitchen upgrade in another thread. It got me to thinking that I'd like to see the plans It also got me to wondering if anyone else has any neat mods we haven't seen yet that they'd like to share. I know the kitchen is a weak point of the 2753, with it's small amont of counter space, and no pantry. We've only done 2 things so far - add the little pantry, which has helped ALOT. And add a flip up table to give us another foot of counter space next to the sink.
Anyone have any good ideas?

Pam, do you have a pic showing the sink, stove fridge side? Trying to remember what yours looks like exactly.
Yes we too have a similar counter space issue and storage issue. I have been collecting parts now for about 2 years.... While I do not yet have them all done I will create some pics with mocks up's of what we are going to do give you some thoughts to maybe build on.
I too would like to see what others have done as it will spark ideas for ours.
Be back soon.
Thanks
John

Here's the pic of the kitchen with the new flip up counter space.
I'd love to rip out the dinette and put in a 6' long bank of cabinets with the pull out table for 2. (alot of motorhomes have this) But I don't think we have the nerve.

Pam,
I removed the dinette out of my '94 2160 (I think that was it), and there was some wall damage, but some bead board paneling took care of hiding the damage. "IF" I can do the stuff I have done to my Sunlines, I know you & Steve can do it too !!!
Make sure you take pictures as you progress. OH, we still have lots of maple cabinetry from the 299SR, yours for the taking. We have lots of other stuff also, it needs to go, I want/need room in my shed back.
Kitty

Thanks for the encouragement Kitty, and the offer of cabinets. So, John B didn't clean you out of cabinets? Damage is what I'm afraid of, but the dinette is so rarely used, and it's usually just the 2 of us. If we have someone over we're usually outside at the picnic table.

Hey Pam..Here is how I solved my lack of counterspace. It's a 12X25 piece of vinyl coated shelving rack...works out really great and I can even use the water faucet when it is in place. Note the yellow "Poster Putty" on the ends to keep it from sliding..also keeps it in place when I stand it next to the stove when we are moving.I am going to search HD and Lowes for something to put on those ends that will look better--maybe pencil erasers? By the way, where did you end up putting your television..(we discussed this some time back when you were shopping) ? Janalee

We put a TV mount next to the door. The TV folds against the wall and secures to the hand hold for traveling. Sometimes we just sit the TV on top of the pantry.
