Mystery Switch

Hi,

I have a switch in our new camper that I cannot figure out what it does. The camper is an '07 289 sr and just inside the entrance door there is a switch that is just like a 110v light switch you would have in a house. It is mounted on a surface mount box on the wall just inside the door.

Does anyone else have one of these and can you tell me what it does?

thanks

PTHutch is an unknown quantity at this point
Can you take a picture of it and post it?

I have two switches just inside the door, one controls an inside ceiling light, the other the outside door light. But it doesn’t seem like the switch you’re talking about is the same.

Nothing happens when you control the switch? All ceiling lights work with the switch in both positions?

Could it be a kill switch for the Slide Room? Have you tried operating the slide room with the switch in both positions?

I also have an '07 289SR but don't have a switch as you describe. There are the 2 light switches as Hutch describes and the slide switch up near the ceiling. No kill switch for the slide. As an electrical contractor I've seen mystery switches in houses for no apparent reason, but this is certainly different. I'd like to see a picture of it also.

It doesn't by chance have the

Patio Party Pack:
Two Exterior Speakers with Interior Cut-Off Switch
Additional Exterior TV Jack and 110 Recepticle on Interior Switch
Outside Gas Grill

Just a thought. This is listed under premier upgrades. Marshall

Mystery solved

I talked to Butler RV and Scott says that the switch controls the outside power receptacles. I have not plugged anything into to those since having the camper so I did not have any idea.

I do have the outside speakers and those are on another switch.

At least I know now what it is for.

Thanks for the responses.
