I remember putting new ends on a few years back. I recall it involved a long string of words that are not suitable for a family forum.

I think I warmed the "slinky" part a bit and then tried turning the plastic ends, sort of like screwing them into the slinky once I got the edge of the metal spiral over the edge of the plastic end. Some of them just seem to fit tight.

I did the same thing. I heated the end of the hose with very hot water and the ends slipped on.

Well I heated the end of the hose with a hair dryer - all that seemed to do was shrink the plastic making even tighter to push on....I'll try hot water and the screw motion this time......why is it that something that should be sooo simple becomes a nightmare?

Thanks for the replies!
