Hi Barbara,
Welcome to Sunline Owners Club! Sorry to hear about your roof. My goodness.
Something is not adding up, it would be very helpful if you can provide some pics and more info on this. A 2006 roof should not be worn out and it sounds like you have some kind of issue on how the roof membrane was mounted down. We can & you can learn from this.
If your hubby has wood tools and is wood working friendly along with able to get up on the camper roof, we can help. You may or may not need an entire roof replacement, but again have no idea of what you are up against.
"IF" it comes to be that you do need to replace the entire roof membrane, then yes, every thing on the roof has to come off, the AC, every roof vent flange, even tank vent cover, the antenna, everything to do this right. That said, this is not that bad of a job, but only if you are prepared for it.
This post will help on Mr Miller until EMD_Driver gets back from Buttonwood

This thread has some video links that can show you what a roof replacement is to help see if this is something you think you can tackle or not.

There are several on the forum who have roof repair, but you need the tools, ability and time to get up there to do it. We can help on the How to or point you to how to help.
But seriously, we are interested in how this may have happened. Water leaks leading to roof replacement are one thing but blowing insulation down the road is not something reported before...and on such a new camper.
Hope this helps and good luck
John
