not sure if it is plugged up or just the shower drain is leaking.
Does anyone know how to replace the tank with standard abs so i can totally bypass this tank?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi,
do you see a leak, or is it wet under the floor?

floor is real weak and the bedroom carpet gets wet every time we use the shower.
i thought it would be easier to just "hard line" it.
i would appreciate any ideas at this time.
thank you all.

I doubt it is a tank problem as most of the tanks hang under the floor, more likely a cracked shower pan/drain or a leak in the supply plumbing.

also forgot to mention that the gray tank wont drain any water and just backs up into the shower and yes the shower drain separated for the drain pipe to the tank.
at this time i think i just want to put in a hardline.
any ideas on how difficult that would be to do?

Are you sure the valve is open?
What year and model Sunline do you have?

We'll have to verify this with Jon, but according to the brochure the 98 T-2570 may not have holding tanks. See the chart below:

i am the second owner and have the original owners manual and i have looked underneath and seen them both. they were purchased when the rig was ordered and factory installed. unfortunately, there is no diagram as to how the plumbing connects.

The plumbing would be directly connected to the top of the tank. The only possible way I can think of, would be to remove the tank and plumb the pipe directly. Unfortunately, I'm too far away to come help!

You should be able to see a metal rod, that goes from the handle to the valve. If the metal rod comes out and stops, the valve should be opening. If the rod comes all the way out and you see threads on the end, it has separated from the valve.
I would probably try a snake, from the waste outlet and see how far I could get it up the gray tank drain line. I'd also use extreme caution, so I didn't get a stinky gray-water shower!
Is there any possibility of you posting a picture of the underside of your trailer, including the drain pipes/valves?

Once you get the tank flowing again, you can use some "Happy Camper" to clean it and make it odor free!

When you pull the handle to open the gray water drain valve, give it a few minutes to drain, then remove your drain hose and take a look up in to the end of the drain valve. Using a flashlight might help, but you should be able to see "if" the valve opened or not.
If it did not open, it might just be that the handle needs to be screwed back in to the valve.
Let us know what you find.

No Gary, N/P means Not Available at Print. They definitely had tanks, but as a new model, they hadn't built one yet when they sent the brochure off to get printed, so they didn't know how big the tanks would be. They used to do that a lot when they had a lot of models...the numbers printed for most of the models are actually based on previous year models.

Chuckles:
ON my trailer the valve is located right on the discharge of the tank and the handle is on the other side of the trailer. Sunline used a piece of all-thread to "extend" the handle. They unscrewed the handle from the valve and connected the all-thread to the valve with a threaded sleeve. I don't know if your rig is like this, but it does have a tendancy to vibrate loose.
Also, make sure you are opening the grey valve vs. the black tank valve, there should be two valve handles and my grey tank handle is tucked up pretty high on the frame and is easy to miss.
