What's an M257 ???

I'm curious. I see a local RV dealers ad for a 2007 Sunline Solaris M257. What does the "M" designation mean? Anything special or is this an incorrect designation?

It's probably a Solaris model T-257SR

NADAguides.com uses the M257 naming convention for all the "T-" models, I'm not sure why, as this must be confusing to people trying to look up their coach on that site.

Perhaps this dealer was just following the NADA name.

We were curoius and went to see this "M257". When we asked about it, the dealer said that it was indeed an M257. As he approached the door to unlock it I showed off my newly found knowledge and asked if it said T-257 by the door and he said yes so now he knows that I know something about Sunlines that he doesn't.

It turned out that the pervious owers didn't love their Sunline. It was in pretty rough shape with many areas with minor damage. $11,000 was far too much even start asking for this unit.

Thanks for the info.
