Lets talk about these twin beds in my Satellite 2400...

This isn't cutting it. I'm too tall, in that I don't fit between the bathroom wall at the rear, and the Fridge/Stove partition in the front. I hate to start looking for another camper with a different layout, and I'm not willing to gut this one and relocate everything. Has anyone done anything to address this issue? I've thought perhaps I might be able to add a center "cot" and a third mattress to make a larger bed, and try the diagonal thing- Not ideal, but it is a thought. Obviously, the wife isn't keen on this idea, since the bathroom door swings to the outside, and she's a real fan of it several times during the night. Somebody? Anybody?

By the way, for those not familiar, here's what I'm up against.

A foot pocket cut out of the wall into the shower? ... nah, I don't think so. Replace the stove/oven with a stove top and feet into where the oven was? That is getting desperate!! Quite a dilemma.

I am 6'1" so I can understand your problem. When I had a popup my head AND feet hit the canvas so on rainy nights one end or the other would get wet.

Maybe a Murphy style short queen installed on one side that pulls down across the trailer and leaves enough room for the door to open, or replace with a slider door? (hard to tell how much space is there, but if there's room to stand then there should be room to lay down when it's pulled down?)

I understand your issue- I'm 5'10" and a 66" jacknife sofa doesn't work too well. There's almost 70" exactly between my dinette wall and slide wall, so my feet end up flat like I'm standing up. Luckily I found the dinette has a couple extra inches with those back cushions down, so I've just moved there.

Can you relocate one mattress up front?

Make a brace that keeps your legs from being able to go straight out. If you can't go long then you have to go short!

Good suggestions... Well, some of you. LOL. I'm going to investigate the relocation option to the dinette area. Either that, or I'm stringing a hammock up in there!
