Thanks. I see places that mention "newer" Expeditions have the directional in the computer but nobody mentions what year "newer" is. Will keep looking to see if I find anything more specific.

I didn't read ALL 14 pages but that is quite a read. Maybe it needs a soaking with WD40.

Bummer that Ford will not accept responsibility for the problem.
