I agree with the guys....a door on top would...
I agree with the guys....a door on top would force you to move everything that is sitting on it. Besides, it will look "smoother" and cleaner without the split top.
How about putting shelves...

One thought: With tile you have grout, grout doesn't flex and a camper is all about flexing...
