I think you should look for a smaller & lighter...
I think you should look for a smaller & lighter TT for your truck....IMHO
With plans for some long distance travel, I don't think you would be happy with that setup.

I have boat and trailer that is more than 1,500lbs. heavier than my QUE TT and I can tell you the heavier boat is MUCH easier to pull mainly because it cuts thru the air...
