Just had a thought (dangerous I know :roll: ) But, is there any chance of getting a "test tow" with your current truck ? I know the trailer would be dry weight, BUT, it might help you...

I think there should be a metal tag/plate right...

I think there should be a metal tag/plate right on your rear axle that tells you what the gear ration is. Some one with more knowledge should be along soon to help you more.
