I have a leaking end on my hose coming from the reserve tanks to the pump. I'm going to try some teflon thread tape which you can get at Home Depot/Lowes for around a 1.00. If that doesn't work, I'll change out the hose.

Does the wires need to be connected to a battery or anything for me to check for a leak (or any of the water features; faucet, shower head ect) or can I just hook a hose via the community connection? Where do those red and blue wires go. I thought I saw a diagram that had this connected to battery.
