Battery does not charge with tow vehicle or while hooked up to electric at Campground. Although the 12volt lights inside the camper do work.

It's possible your converter doesn't have a built in charger. Check the model and rating on the converter door. If it's not charging from the tv, could be a fuse on the battery box or a fuse under the hood of your tow vehicle. Or maybe your tv wiring is not set up right.

Where is that fuse located? Under hood or under the dash where the utility fuses are?

Campers usually have a charge fuse for two reasons one to protect the camper the other to protect the TV wiring. The older chargers had two circuits one for the lighting the other to charge the battery it is entirely possible the charge circuit is toes up.

I was referring to power to the connector on my Yukon. I'm aware of the 2 fuses on the camper...jus wondering what pin and where the fuse in the truck ties in. Thanks

The battery charge fuse is under the hood.

On GM and most others it's trailer charge or aux battery charge.

That is only if the truck had a tow package. Because GM Ford etc could not make up their mind what "up" was the only thing I can tell you is look for the key way in the socket on your TV it will be the first pin to the right of the key way (or clockwise) that is the +12 volt pin it should power on with the key. Recently the truck manufactures have become creative as to how they mount the sockets GM likes to mount them upside down Ford to the right Dodge I think also. To me the ideal is to have the cover hold the plug in place against the weight of the cable but hey what do I know.

I guess I was assuming the vehicle had a tow package where there was already a plug on the back. Most of them are live all the time, i had to put a relay in mine to act as an isolator so I didn't have to unplug it when stopped. Other vehicles are different I'm sure. You're right about the mounting, the cover should be on the top over the keyway.

I do have a full tow package(01 Yukon XL 2500) and am pretty sure I found the missing 40A fuse labeled as Stud 1. Tomorrow I'll check the pin and see about voltage.

That would be a start wonder why it is missing? Most factory packages had a isolator relay that was turned on with the key also. What you might try after installing the fuse is a volt meter on your camper batteries check it first with the truck turned off then again with the truck running it should come up into the 13+ volt range if all is well. Failing that then you need to check the 7 pin connector I think every one even Toyota bought the connectors from the same source and frankly they were not the best I run across one the other day on a Ford that had no truck ground to the 7 pin the problem was the 7 pin connector it's self. Most dealers stock them.

If the was missing, good chance the red charge wire isn't hooked up to stud 1. You'll find the wire taped to the harness near the fuse box.

Ok,I'm getting 12.75v/14.4v(running)@ pin 1..to the right of the notch. Now is where the relay comes in I guess unless I only connect my camper when I plan on using it,so it's not draining my truck battery!

That's good means the truck it doing what it's supposed to so now turn the truck off and see if the voltage drops if it does there is an isolator in the circuit. I suspect there is being a factory setup there maybe a legend on the plastic cover that names the relays.

Yes,it drops to 12.7v off,but it's still live and would be a draw. I have yet to measure voltage at my camper battery when plugged in to make sure it's actually getting to the battery, but I so have a master switch,so I can always just keep it off when in storage.

Under the hood in the fuse box.top left empty fuse spot on 01 Tahoe.. standing beside the left front tire..my fuse was missing.. just now I put in the fuse and now I have voltage at the charge terminal on the trailer connector.
