I can't speak specifically to your model, but we've owned 4 Sunlines and anytime there was an opening window there was a screen in that area.

Mine did not have one in either of the slide up windows I measured them up and had a screen shop make up frames and used sheet metal screws to hold them in. There is a space outside of the window that's deep enough for 3/8 frames. It was pretty cheap like $40 for the two. I don't think the T1700's had them because there was nothing that remotely look like some thing that would hold a screen in.
