What did you do to the Sunline today?

Smoke and mirrors.

That might be interesting watching batteries charge batteries. Who needs solar with batteries connected like that?

Got my sunline ready for the road. Install 4 new tires and bought a rim for a spare. After a 3 hour sit on I 80 in a construction zone I'll never be without a spare again.

My wife is finishing up the curtains. I'm figuring out a new converter system. Looking forward to our 3rd trip with it next week.

Pan under hot water tank.
Rope alarm around hot water tank.
Rope alarm around water pump and fittings.
Laminate flooring in bedroom and bathroom.
Travel lock on awning.
Used 2 tubes of pro flex RV sealent on seams, so far

Finally

Today after 5 years of saving up I had an RV repair company show up and fix the electricity, make sure the AC turned back on (seems we had some flying bugs make their home in the fan) and am looking for tires as well as getting a propane regulator and propane to check the lines.

Called an RV dealer close by to get an estimate on a paint job (You should have heard him comment when I said 1984) He said: "SAY WHAT" He was so intrigued when I let him know that there was not really any rust on the body at all.

Today has been a good day. Can't wait to see what I accomplish with "Liberty" (campers name) next!

Cleaned it!

Actually, we cleaned it a few weeks back but, after all that work, we just wanted to show it off to someone! :D

Bought one today

Found one on CL. A 1998 Solaris T-2053. Great condition. I will be living in it a couple days a week while renovating a mobile home that is on some land we recently purchased.

I have gone 2 steps further. I have switched to radial tires, and I now carry 2 spare tires. I found that after changing the tire, I don't relax knowing I don't have a spare if I have another blowout so I always end up tracking down a walmart to buy a new spare right away. Now I can hopefully make it back home before I have to get another spare.

What is the saying...Two is one, One is none?

Finally finished making curtains for all the windows on my T-1750. Bought some nice thick fabric that seems like it would be a good couch upholstery type stuff from Jo-Ann fabrics and used no-sew iron on fabric tape to put ‘em all together. IMG_3610.jpg

The tire size from Sunline would be, ST205/75R15 Load range C. The wheel hub is 5 lug on 4.5"" centers. The wheel has zero offset for trailer wheels.

Good luck getting your new Sunny!

John

PS. Make sure all tires are aired up to max cold sidewall pressure before heading out.
If they still have the load range C's that is 50psi. And if they are beyond 5 years old, take it slow. Bring an air tank or pump with you. The owner may not have one. Or find a real close by gas station that you scoped out "before" you hook up to the camper. It is a real wild card to find a pump that works, will go to 50psi and the camper and truck can fit next to it. After one real bad experience trying to get into the gas station, after the 4th station that even had a pump that worked, the pump was blocked by cars and you could not pull close enough. I now bring my own compressor...

Thank you so much for information we usually carry a small air compressor and a second spare. I will let you know how it goes. Going from North Carolina to Maryland.

Hot water Pilot light

I recently installed a new control valve and pilot thermocouple assembly. The pilot will only stay on as long as I depress the knob turned to pilot on the control valve. When released, the pilot light goes out. All connections were checked for gas leaks - none found. Before I take it to an RV shop, does anyone know what could be the problem?
