We'll Leo and I took the plunge!

We purchased our 2006 T1950 back in 05 - have loved the TT EXCEPT the bed......only thing I did not like. We had ordered the TT so I got some of the things I wanted and didn't know about others that we could have gotten (not a great dealer), until after it was built!

Anyway after looking and yearning for a 2499 - we took the plunge Friday and purchased a 2007 T2499 in Tropical, with the kitcken upgrade & RV grill from Camper Barn in Kingston.

When we stopped by there last October (our daughters live about 45 mintues away from them) I was not pleased with the "deal of our lifetime offer" from the salesperson......walked in Friday told the "new" salesman what we wanted and signed the papers that day. We will pick her up next Saturday.

Our 1950 is for sale until Saturday as he is willing to give us $11,000 trade - sight unseen - so we are looking for $13,500 - she is in mint condition and I have her listed over in Sunline Sales forum!

After we signed tha paper we went to visit the "grandkids" and told our daughters that we are STILL spending their inheritence.

Boy do we need our heads examined!

Happy Camping Everyone!

Kathy

You can't take it with you. Only you need to know your fininical situation and you worked your life now to enjoy it. Enjoy your new camper. After you camp with it a few times, the $$$ issue will melt into the Sunset.

You will really like that T2499. :D

And don't think you are the only one who did something like this. In our case it was not a TT, but a 2004 sales model Coleman Mesa PU. Made in 2003, bought in late 2004. We got it at a good deal since it was a sales model so when traded it after 1 season…, we didn't get hit to bad. Our 2004 T2499 was also bought in the end of the year they wanted to move them as the 2005’s where out already out many months earlier. And I can tell you, the “are we nuts” feeling only lasted 1 camping trip with the T2499… And we camped on the way home from the dealer. So it lasted about, oh 3 hours…

Happy camping

John

Congradulations on your purchase! Oh great, another 2499 owner on here, like we don't have enough already .

Good luck with your delivery. Remember, this is the last time you will be able to take delivery on a NEW Sunline (well, unless Camper's Barn still has one two years from now).

Jon

P.S. So that's why your going to Camper's Barn :D .

H'mm maybe it's and invasion  I couldn't resist...

I heard Campers barn may have 2 more. You could get one. :D

I also noticed the forum clock is 1 hour off. We have a lot of late night owls on here tonight and this one is off to bed.

Have a good one.

Yes Jon that is why we are going to Camper Barn and like I said I'll take photos...just tell me what it is that you want. :D

I was quite surprised to see the stock that they have new 06's and 07's....

John B - Leo and I have been telling the girls for years that if there is money in the bank when we die it is only because we forgot to spend it!!!!
We both worked very hard for many years, we have been lucky in real estate and business, so we are fortunate!

Looking forward to getting her home next week BUT I won't be here, I'm headind down to New Jersey to visit with my Mom for a week.....so Leo get to have her all ready for our 1st trip back when I come home!

Kathy

You mentioned your new T2499 has the kitchen upgrade option. H'mm what is that option? Didn't know they had one.

John

Hi John,

Sorry for the comment. I couldn't resist  . I told Sarah about the clock a few weeks ago, but I think she doesn't realize because it is the right time for her.

Kathy, so when are you taking delivery of the new TV :?: .

Jon

The kitchen upgrade is the sealed burner stove and the sprayer faucet oh and the stove cover!

We ordered the 1950 with the sealed burners and sprayer faucet and when we take delivery on Saturday the stove cover will be one of the first things to go!

Leo and I will drive down to Kingston (seperately) inspect the trailer and he'll drive back north (home) - I'll continue southwest to Sussx County NJ to visit my Mom for a week - then back home to take the new 2499 for a weekend trip SOMEWHERE - ANYWHERE - its been winter way too long this year!

As far as the clock it is 4 hours off - unless I don't have something set up correctly!

Does anyone know if we'll get spell check on the forum.....this late at night the fingers never manage to hit the right keys!

Kathy ......... We too thought we needed a head examination at one time. We went through a '99 and a '01 Trail-Lite until the water leaks drove us batty. When we saw the '04 2499 at the Cleveland show, we couldn't resist and bought it on the spot. Now we have a keeper that will be with us for a long, long time.

Congrats on the new purchase .... enjoy and have lots of fun.

Call me crazy too but I'd love to keep QUEtSE for short trips and grab a 2753 while we can for when we do the full time travel thing in a couple years. There really is nothing out there like a Sunline, and I'm really sure traveling for 2 years in our QUE is not gonna work. We ordered a new Tundra, and we all know what happens when you upgrade the tow vehicle :p Sooo....I say CONGRATS and you course you made a great decision!!! It's another Sunline 8)

I'll throw in my two cents worth. We just bought a 2499 this month upgrading from a Coleman Utah. We love it. A bathroom where you can sit and read a newspaper and not touch the walls or have to leave the door open to fit inside. The HUGE rear window was the deciding factor to chose this floorplan. The way everybody brags on this forum just confirms that Amy and I chose the right brand of coach.
Anyone else looking for a 2499, Mantellis in Lockport, NY (just east of Buffalo) has a 2006 that is the twin of ours. Their asking $18,600 for it.
Going to spend all of today figuring out where to put what in the new TV.

Happy camping
Bobo

Kathy, Congratulations on the new coach. We bought our 264SR from Campers Barn in Feb. One thing to watch out for is their service. The guys did some really stupid things trying to put our WDH on. Good thing I was there to help them. After reading some reviews about their service, and seeing it in person, I would never take our coach back to them for anything. We only bought from them for the good price we got. If something would happen, I'll fix it myself or take it to someone closer to where we live.

Yea I already know about their "service".... Kingston is almost 3 1/2 hours away, and knowing the reputation of Sunline, we figured, once we did the PDI, that would be it for bring it there.....we have literaly done NOTHING except routine mainteance on the 1950 - we are praying to God that is all we will have to do to the 2499! However they have extended us a 1 year (in hourse) warranty bumper to bumper.

We've been looking for quite some time now......I think we did OK on pricing $17,900 + tax & registration out the door! This is for the 07 with the kitchen upgrade (sealed burner stove and sprayer faucet and that damned tinny stove top cover).....no one else came close to them in pricing....and trust me we have been looking.

Kathy,

Congratulations on your purchase. I know you had been looking and wondered when it was going to happen. We may be down your way for Paddlefest in May. I'll let you know.

Mike

Kathy & Leo,

Congrats on your upgrade. Your gonna love it :D I think there are more 2499 users on here than any of the other Sunline models. It is just such a great floor plan.

Please do.....we should be around that weekend! Will you be camping or just doing a day trip?

Hi Kathy & Leo

Congratulations on your new Sunline. I know you’ve been looking and contemplating this for probably the last 6 months. You made the right move and I’m sure you’ll love it.
