Finally got to go out in the Pennsylvania woods camping last weekend. Went Thursday to Sunday. It was cold, dark and rainy almost all of the time.

It was great, can't wait to go again!

Heading to the great PA woods tonight for the holiday weekend. Can't wait. It sounds as if this crappy weather is going to move out to be replaced by sunny skies. Great timing. Hope everybody has a great holiday weekend.

Care to mention your camping spots, or are you both in the witness protection program

I'll start, I was in Blue Knob State Park, enjoying the rain, cold, and a beer festival Altoona.

The park's camping site are about 75% redone with fantastic, large, and level lots.

We are heading to Raymond B. Winter SP. 4 hrs. and counting!! No beer festivals near us this weekend :( but a fun backwoods bar nearby we frequent always hits the spot.

This weekend we're headed for Pioneer Campground in Sullivan County. We will be near Worlds End SP and Rickets Glen SP: They both get full too fast, so we go to the private campground nearby.

Rickets Glen is nice. It seems that everytime we go there the campground goes through an extensive inspection by the local bears. I like to keep everything stored away all of the time. 24 hours a day.

I like the Greenwood Furnace area in the center of the state. Quite, small, just kind of used to going there.

I was staying in Colonel Denning State Park two weekends ago.

With the price of gas I take advantage of the state parks close by me.
