I have been getting "website not responding" notices. I did sign in and tried to come here, this is my third try to get here, to see what is going on and the pages would not load. I had to close Internet Explorer because it would not respond to closing pages. Only way to close Internet Explorer was to go to Task Manager.

After closing IE and reopening I go to my favorites, click the same link to come to the SOC sign in page but it has me signed in. Being signed in I came to the catagory page and this thread. Clicked to post a new thread and IE went into another load loop and became locked up.

Again I did the Task Manager to get out of the page load loop by closing IE. Again I was signed into SOC. Came here to post and have been able to enter this text. Now if it will let me post......

Edited to add:
This post was posted but I couldn't get back in to read or edit it. Ineternet Explorer keeps locking up when trying to load these pages on Sunline and on this site only. I can clear cookies and sometimes return. I think it is from a advertiser trying to load junk an dnot teh sebsite itself. JMO.

Edited again:
It did let me load pages properly this time without getting in teh page loop lockup. We'll see how far that goes.

Jim...was the attempt to log in during the "update process" for the site? I remember reading something that the site would be down for "updating" but for the life of me I can't remember when!!!!

Due to preventive maintenance the forum may be offline starting July 28, 2011 starting at 1:01 am EDT (5:01 GMT). This maintenance window is scheduled for 2 hours but the hope is that it will be no more than 30 minutes.
We are apologize for any inconvenience.

Maintenance should have been done a few days ago.

I had trouble this morning also and again when trying to post this (took 3 tries).

I also had trouble on irv2 (but no other sites) a couple weeks ago. If I could get onto that site, I could read if logged out but as soon as I logged in, the site froze. I quit going there, but I can't quit coming here.

Problem was happening this morning, August 01, 2011. And it only happened on this site. I checked everythin gelse in my favorites but this was the only problem site.

I was on a laptop using Vista. This desktop has XP on it and no problem so far....... but that could change any minute.

Could you be more specific about what time in the morning? We run maintenance every morning.

I've had a problem twice in the last couple months where the main forum page won't show up. If I go up into the address bar and pull up a particular thread, it will show. I can click from there to see any other thread and even see the breakdown forums, but not the main index. Didn't matter if I was logged in or not.

The first time, it seemed like it went away on its own. The second time, it lasted longer and I cleared it up right away by cleaning out the cookies. I forget the exact message that it would show when the index wouldn't show, but it was like something forbidden.

No problems with this site in the last couple days though. I'll admit, I tried to go on Ford Truck Enthusiasts early this morning and it wouldn't go either. I had to go, so I just let it be and came back later, when it appeared to be all fixed.

The message I would get is that 'website sunline.com is not responding'. Internet Explorer would show as trying to download the Sunline.com link. Some of the page would show but IE would still be trying to download more of the page. Then, if I clicked any link on the downloaded part of the page I would get the 'Internet Explorer is not responding' notice and no links on teh IE page would work. The only way I could get out of the download loop or close the page was to use the Task Manager and select Close the page from there.

The only variation from this action was once when the page was trying to load I hit the scrollwheel on my mouse and a link opened to one of the advertisers, campers for sale I think it was. It happened so fast I can't remember exactly. But when the advertising link opened I was out of the download loop and IE could be closed, which I did. That is why I think the IE loop was a adverter's link downloading and not code on the websites pages.

I had no problem loading any page anywhere on my favorites list, or their sites, and I did check quite a few of them but when returning to this site, I had the same problem. I haven't had the time to retry the laptop this morning but will later today.

Maybe whatever it is has been fixed by now. There are many rolling glitches that seem to come and go without explanation.

My wife is having a pacemaker installed this morning. It seems this is no big deal anymore but until then I'm at risk of loosing her. If you pray, please pray for her. I'm back off to the hospital.

Jim, sending my prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery for Beverly. The medical field can do so much these days, but it never hurts to know others are praying and wishing the best.

As for the trouble with the site not loading - I still had trouble at 5:30 AM today. Using EI and XP. Antivirus, antispyware and updates all up to date. Yesterday it stuck at loading google ads, today at loading sunlineclub.com. Had to use task manager to close.

Thank you for the prayers and wishes. I do believe in the power of prayer. No proof, just faith.

I've not been on much but no locking up today. Maybe tomorrow after Wifey is home I can sit and play a little.

Thanks again for the prayers.

Using IE 9 and Windows vista, all up to date. 9:26PM and IE has locked up trying to load this site. None other do this.

jim

Had another lockup at 7:23PM today. First was post about Sunlineclub.com not responding and the clicking anywhere on the page gives the Internet Explorer not responding. I closed IE, cleaned cookies and cache and history to get back in. If I don't I get teh lockup right away. Otherwise I can load pages until I get a third party cookie that doesn't load right, I think.

I have tried to post this twice now. Maybe this time will do the trick.

jim

Edited to add that time is Eastern.

Jim

A few prayers coming your way for a speedy recovery to your wife.

John

Thank you JohnB,

Wifey has been lucky. The pacemaker that was put in had a feedwire come loose, but it came loose while she was still hooked to machines so it was easily discovered. Again she was lucky when getting ready to come home this morning and the oxygen was disconnected it was discovered that her breathing isn't right in that her lungs don't supply enough oxygen to her blood to supply her body.

These things, either one of which is serious, were found while she is in the hospital under speciallized care. I thank God she was in the right place at the right time.

jim

Edited to add: The Sunine.com pages not responding and the locking up of IE are only on my Vista machine. Atleast I can come in here on this one without problem.

Jim,
So sorry to hear of the troubling incidents you and Beverly encountered today. It is fortunate that she was still in the hospital and both were found and remedied. Prayers will continue.

Thank you (((everyone))) for your prayers.

I'm still having problems loading this site with Vista. When siging in just now I watched the status bar at all the stuff loading. The Googleads and DoubleClick cookies heldup the site loading. The Sunline site loaded quickly, a couple of seconds, but the other junk took much longer, 15 seconds. I think the problem with Vista must be my privacy settings. I lowered my setting a notch but I'll not take them all the way down. It is the tracking cookies that are locking up my laptop. I believe that since I can remove cookies, cache and history and get a couple page loads before locking up again. Placed my privacy settings back up and will only come in through the XP machine as long as I can.
