Watkins Glen NY

I was thinking of going to Watkins Glen State Park this October. Any opinions would be appreciated. Just myself and my wife for a weekend.

Sorry for the late reply, been busy camping. In my younger years I have spent many a fall weekend at Watkins Glen. Very beautiful country. Great wine tours and lake water activities. Every October I would be there for the F-1 grand prix race. WG State park is nice. Some sites are small for a state park. Fabulous gorge to walk through. That is the only park other than the track that I camped in. I have heard mixed reviews of the KOA and good things for the town of WG's own park Clute on Senaca Lake. Have a great time but if you are not a race fan stay away on race weekends as the village triples it's population for one week.
