Water pump

water pump

Hi, sure we can just tell us what model and year you have. There's usually a red switch up near the sink. Oh by the way, welcome to the forum!

I have a 1984 sunline, I finally just disconnect it ,it was trying to something lol. I haven't explored the water part of the trailer yet, bought it in April and have only been working on decor.but thanks for getting back to me. I will continue to check this sight

As Relie stated, there is usually a switch near the kitchen sink area or the bath sink on some models.

Once the camper has water in the fresh water tank, the pump will fill the camper lines with water build pressure and then the pump will shut off by itself when the pressure rises enough. And it will cycle on and off as needed to keep the pressure built up as you use water.

If you run the pump a lot with no water in the tank, or it pumps the tank dry, that constant running with no water can harm the pump long term. It sounds like it was turned on by accident. Yes, shut it off if you are not using it.

Hope this helps

John

In the case of a 1984, there should be a small brown switch panel somewhere near the water pump, on a wall or cabinet side, and the small rocker switch should turn it off. Sounds like it may have been bumped by accident.
