Hi all....well in my "new" rv the ceiling lights are way too high for us to reach and I would like to add just a line switch for the bathroom..I really don't use the others. I am presently using the "long stick" method but DH(has dementia)can't quite understand that approach. Help please! Something easy..I have plastic channel to hide wires..the br double fixture is centered on the mirror, leaving me the option to run a "switch wire" across the top and down the side and to a line switch. The wires in the fixture are soldered to it..which wires do I tap into for a line switch (I know how to wire those!) Do I cut the black wire going from one side of fixture to the other?

Normally you switch off the "hot" wire in your case it would be black. The wiring is usually joined to the fixture with wire nuts you will have to remove the fixture to get to them.
