Hello all. I recently purchased a 1977 15' Compact. It was a very very good deal. I plan to completely re-do the interior and exterior to make it more "current". I tow with a Ford Ranger FX4 Level 2 5spd. A friend of mine had a 32' camper that had a tree fall on it in 2011 so I salvaged a lot of parts from that (cabinets, microwave, 12volt lights, etc). I will be posting before, during, and after photos. Cant wait to start traveling the US!

Welcome to the forum nepasunline. I agree with Wannabes 100%. We like pictures especially before and after. I saw some youtube videos of some really bad trailers and after restoration it's amazing what people can do for a restoration. I saw some drop dead gorgeous 1940s and 50s trailers

Everyone does his restoration differently just like restoring an old car. You do it the way you want it. Personally, I tried to be as close to original as possible. Not easy with color matching sometimes. You will also find that on this forum there are tons of people willing to help and advise on your project. Many here have helped me along the way. We all help each other here.

I also just purchased a vintage 12' SunLine and would love some help with the ID.
I tried to use the vin number to do this but just got confused!
I will post some before pics.
Can't wait to get started on the rehab-I have done houses before but this is the first trailer for me.

Pics Thus Far

Picked it up for $345 incuding title and tag. So far im into it $410 with the renovations and all.

When I first got it home.

All washed up

Started gutting the interior

more interior gutting

somewhat of a mess

Floor almost done

Don't beat me up too much. this is a budget buy/build :X

It looks great to me-the exterior is in good shape as far as I can tell. My project is a T1250 that someone else started to rehab. It was insulated and the floor rebuilt as well as parts of the interior walls. What remains is mostly cosmetic work and putting back the kitchen area. Mine was only $300 so far. Picking it up tomorrow so have a few days to whip her into shape before the NE meet & greet!
