Campground Visit / Stay Information:
Stay: September 2007
Site type: Not sure if I should even post this one on here as the roads were very narrow and tight, but if you had a smaller camper, or a QUe, it would be ideal. For the seclusion of the place, it's worth the hassle of the narrow roads
Site amenities: None, this is for tent camping or rustic camping at it's best
Rate/night: Dont know, we never saw another person as it was out of season, best time to go is in the fall for the colors
Extra Charges/night (Pets, Children, A/C, etc): Unknown
First or Return Visit: First visit
Your Rating (1 Low – 5 High): 5+++

Campground Facilities Information:
Back-in/pull-through: Back-In and as Tight as we've ever seen, but once you get into the site, you have a nice size campsite. We did see a few that could be used as pull-thru's
Hook-ups: None Available
Credit Cards Accepted: ?
Discounts Accepted (Good Sam, KOA, other): ?
Roads: The road is dirt, and we had to move a few branches that had come down the night before to get into the sites, so quite rustic
Level Sites (Yes/No; rating: 1 low – 3 high): Yes, rating: 2
Wide/Open Sites (Yes/No; rating: 1 low – 3 high): No, Heavily Wooded - 1
Restroom Cleanliness (1 low – 3 high): -1 they were just outhouses
Store (Yes/No; rating: 1 low – 3 high): No
Game Room (Yes/No; rating: 1 low – 3 high): No
Pool (Yes/No; Heated/Not Heated; Clean, rating: 1 low – 3 high): No

Campground Impressions:
Kid Friendly (Yes/No - Activities): Yes, along the lines that the kids will be on a big beach with a giant lake to play around and not much of anything else
People Friendly (Yes/No): Very
WiFi Friendly (Yes/No; - Charge?/Service Provider?): No WiFi, and we couldnt get a signal on our Verizon Broadband Card either, but like I said, it's out there
Cell Phone Coverage (Yes/No - Service Provider?): No
Pet Friendly (Yes/No): Yes

Personal Comments:
In almost a year of being on the road, this has been our favorite campground for the sheer isolation of it all! It was out of season, peak fall color and we had the enitre place to ourselves!! This is why we set up our 2499TT for boondocking!! It was a little slice of heaven hidden in the Upper Peninsula. From now on, anytime we come through Michigan's UP, this will be a must stop for us.

The Falls that are the main attraction, are amazing also. One of the most beautiful in the Upper Peninsula

I've included a picture of the falls and the campgound for you to get an idea

Our camper is hidden in the woods behind the top left section of this piece of drift wood!! Simply breath taking scenery!

Here is another picture of that campsite at night. Those white specs in the sky are star trails from the long exposure. This was also taken during a full moon!

And some more photos of the falls

Just thought I'd share some of the beauty with you all. This really is a great spot to camp, but no hook-ups, so be prepared!
