Yep, I tackled the TV cabinet mod today. Needed to "beef" up the side wall so I could install the wall mount for the 22" flat panel TV. I did manage to locate "studs" at the front & rear of the side wall, then I used contact cement to attach the "first" piece of birch plywood, then more contact cement and a second piece of birch plywood, and screws into the "studs" Here are some pics:
Hindsight is a wonderful thing,"IF", I had ordered a longer wall mount the TV might have swung out far enuff to be viewed from outside. Main goal of the TV mod was for storage behind the TV, so once I put "stuff" in there ther TV will stow near the front of the cabinet.
Forgot to post sofa mod pictures, will do them later.
