I guess we're looking for some suggestions, opinions, advice, etc., from people who know the Sunline product more than us. We've had our Sunline listed for sale on this site for quite some time. Since we've had no signs of interest, we're wondering: Is it the economy, is it our price, is it our location being in Vermont, is it not a favored model? We're willing to listen to what anyone has to say.

We have had absolutely no issues with this camper, the only reason we're selling is we've moved up into a 5th wheel.

Thank you for your thoughts.

Oh selling... I know how you feel, not getting responses is a tough thing.

I do have a couple suggestions:

First, check the current NADA guide. Here is the record for your coach as of today:

NADA Guide Report said:
2003 SUNLINE SOLARIS SERIES T-2553

August 17, 2009
Travel Trailers & Fifth Wheels
Model: T-2553
Length/Width: 26' x 8'
Axles: 2
Weight: 4340

Self-Contained: YES
Slides: N/A

Low Retail: $5,180
Average Retail: $6,240

Suggested Original List: $20,430

Based on the options that you have, I think $6,800 could be a fair price, and if you still have no interest, you can drop it to somewhere between there and $6,500.

I think a lot of your lack of interest is attributed to both the price and especially the economy. I don't think Vermont is a downside, because I've seen a lot for sale there, and I think the model is a very nice model that was produced for a number of years. So it must have been a good seller.

Just curious, what kind of FW do you have now?

We got a great package deal, the 5th wheel is a 2004 Keystone Cougar Model 290EFS and the truck is a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 Duramax diesel.

Also one more thing. I thought about it earlier and forgot to type it because I got busy with looking up the NADA info.

You may want to list elsewhere, such as Craigslist. This site is a great source for Sunline info, but I don't think the site is well visited by people looking to buy a coach. People may find one and then come here, but they will most likely not look at the classifieds. Some members here may look to upgrade to a newer unit, but that is a very limited market.

I'd also recommend some high quality pictures with the ad. It'll let buyers see what you have and the condition so they can make a decision if they want to pursue it or not, and most likely they will with the coach looking amazing.

Make sure to put keywords in the title of the ad...so make it something like this: "2003 Sunline T-2553 Travel Trailer RV Camper in Pristine Condition" This will allow any type of search to bring up your ad.

Thank you so much for your reply. You've been extremely helpful and given us great ideas and information. Thanks again!

Thank you

Jon,

Took your advice and our Sunline sold. It was on Craigslist for about an hour and we had to inquiries. The first people that saw it, bought it.

Thanks again for your help!

We sold "Stinky" the third day. The first man to look at it was just window shopping. The second couple who came to look at it bought it. I asked $2,975 on Craig's List and my husband sold it for $2,200. We ate the loss.

The woman claimed she didn't smell anything.

congrats on the sale.......hope you enjoy your new TT as much as you did your Sunline.....isn't camping wonderful? :D

I erred. He sold Stinky for $2,300. I love camping and traveling. Stinky's new owners took him camping already. :)

We spent 3 days at Poole Knobs near Nashville and will be back there for 2 weeks next month. The extra space sure does make a difference when the 2 of us are inside. I have to do a little decorating to personalize the Zinger.
