Hi Everyone,

I got a PM from Poor Man Campin’ (aka Brad and Amy) letting me know the twins have arrived. I thought I would take the liberty and share some excerpts from the PM Brad sent me with everyone.

Hey Hutch!

Busy... very, very busy! I'm not known for being brief, but here's the best I can do.

Amy's test came back good, so Tues. Oct. 9, she had the twins by C-section and everybody is doing well!

Danielle Robin was 6.1 lbs, 18.75" long, and Jessica Rene was 5.7 lbs, 18" long. Supposed to be identical twins, but Jessica is a little smaller and fiesty! Danielle is more laid back.

Brought everybody home last Sat. but had no time to sit at the computer and make the announcement.

Thanks for the prayers! They worked well!

Wonderful news :) We'll all anxiously await your family's arrival at the June M&G in Mexico !!!

Congrats Brad & Amy on such wonderful news!

Hopefully they will enjoy "camping"!!!!

Congrats Brad & Amy,

Now, when you have a spare moment could you tell us their names? And when do you have their first camping trip planned?

Hi All!

A few short minutes to post. Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers! It's very nice to have the moral support; every little bit helps!

Everyone is doing well. Sure could use more sleep, but we're doing the best we can. About 2 hrs ave. b/w sleep and feeding. One gets awake or goes to sleep before the other; they are very good at tag-teaming us. But, DW and I work well as a team and even our 3 yr old is pitching in to help with feeding, 'errands', etc, of her own free will :) . That is very helpful, and she can make a game of it. She does let us know when she's had enough of the babies though.

DW/DD and I are looking forward to spring to go camping. DD and I go sit in the camper and play games or read books on the weekends. Our first 'test' run w/twins  will be at Caledonia State Park sometime in May '08. Maybe 2 trips if we can do it before the M/G.

Will try to update this post throughout the year, so check back periodically! DW and I are really looking forward to the M/G in '08. Just got hollered at... twins are sleeping and DD and DW are headed for bed. Need to catch a couple myself! Happy Camping to those still on the road!

Not that you dont have your hands full now, but Hey Brad, I really feel for you, because you showed me pictures of your wife, and if two twin girls end up looking anything like their mother, you've got your hands full :D

Not that you dont have your hands full now, but I can only imagine these two when they get in their teens. You'll be getting plenty of use out of that Sunline then!!!

Congrats and Good Luck

Pat

Hi All!

Thought I'd post an update. Wanted to put our Christmas Card family photo on with the girls, but we don't have that capability yet :( . However, things are going pretty well, and everybody is still healthy!

The twins are now 2 monthes old and weigh 9.6 lbs - 21.75" and 8.15 lbs - 21.25"; so Jessica is closing in on Danielle! On the average, they drink 4 oz. of formula every 2 - 3 hours, and are pretty demanding when it's time to eat!  Amy does well during the day with all 3 kids, but she sure does enjoy seeing me come home from work. Of course, I just add to the noise and confusion  ! We are getting about 3 - 4 hours of sleep b/w feedings in the middle of the night, so we're only up twice before I have to go to work. Does make it tough when they time their feeding to 45 min. before my alarm goes off!

We're working on a game plan for when we go camping, but then we all know how the best laid plans go.

Thanks Pat for your compliment; sure did put a smile on Amy's face :D ! When you get to see all of them, you'll know for sure that I'll have problems in the future! What's really ironic is that my screen name is going to be more of a reality than I thought :!:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!!!

-Brad

Hey Brad, glad to hear everyone is doing great, and hopefully by spring, you'll have it down to such a routine, the camping will be an option

Have a Merry Christmas

Pat & Cindy
