Hi,
We purchased a 24' 1985 Sunline camper in early spring. Slowly making her our own. Fixed a leak in the back right corner (faux tin ceiling will be installed soon), added 4 new tires, rooftop air, painted the interior, cut a new table for fold out booth (still needs finishing) & installed a new floor. Still much so much more I'd like to do but she is in vacation mode. Love love love her and glad I found your site. We are boaters so campers are foreign to us. We initially purchased it to take to a few festivals that we like to go to every year. However, we did drag her 6 hours to the beach and plan to utilize her much more than we ever imagined. She's a dream to tow and so much storage. She's a little tacky thus the name Tramper.

Happy camper!

Love the decor! I hope you post photos of the tin ceiling. What will you use? We used wallpaper on the ceiling in our home and people think it's the real thing. Great idea for the camper.

Thank you....using faux tin panels we bought from a company online. The name is Antiqueceilings.com. Yes I will post pictures.

Welcome to our group! I, for one, thinks she looks GREAT! Have fun with your redo! Janalee

Welcome! Nice little camper you have there, all fixed up ready for a good time.

Thanks for sharing the pics! We like hearing and "seeing" your Sunline adventures.

Happy Camping

John

Did you use paint or stain on the cabinets? I like the darker finish. Looks like a vintage hotel room.

Flat black. Pictures didn't come out well due to using a cell phone. Primed and 3 coats. Took forever but very happy with the choice.

The decor has a very homey feel to it, comfortable looking. The ceiling treatment sounds very interesting. I would love to see photos after the install.

Janepete,

What kind of wall paper and adhesive did you use. i.e. vinyl paper, etc.? Do you have pictures? I would like to see. I may need to redo my ceiling on a 1983 T-1550 and you and tramper have some good ideas going.

Like the name.

The wallpaper we got at Lowes. It is embossed and is white. You paint it after you put it up. We put it up in our home, not our camper. I'm not sure with the temperature variations whether it would stay up in a camper. It came prepasted and instead of soaking the paper, we brushed on extra strength wallpaper paste, let it sink in a couple of minutes then hung it. Been up for 4-5 years and you still cannot see the seams. Looks great with satin or glossy paint so you see more shadow/light in the detail.

Thanks for the reply. Temperature was exactly my concern and thought you solved that issue. I was thinking you did it in the camper.

I may be the one to try it. Not a high priority at the moment though. Been making new outside door entry light lens and poor mans awning. A few other projects ahead of ceiling covering.
