Your pic is coming through.

WOW a VIN tag on a 1991 camper that is still readable. Many have sun faded to unreadable. Sunline must of changed brands of stickers along the way

This looks like you are using the IMG commands but only on the raw pic file name.

The pic needs to be on a photoserver and have a URL address ending in jpg. Then in the img commands the pic will link in and view.

I was even amazed my pic showed up. That sticker is almost 30 years old but doesn’t look it. I’m hoping to post pics of the trailer once I can properly do so.

Hi RasinRom12,

I can see you are using the wrong picture format. Your pic needs to end in .jpg

I am not familiar with your photo server, what looks to be Pinterest. see if they have a url of the pic ending in .jpg

The above is what you posted for your link.

Let us know if you need more help on this

Hi John: I can definitely use help :) I first tried to upload directly from my computer, but then saw I needed a url, so the only thing I could think of was Pinterest, so I uploaded to that for the first picture, but then was able to upload the rest from my desktop, and those photos ARE in jpg format, but they are somehow still linked to the pinterest page. Also, even though the photos are oriented in the right direction when I upload them, they are showing up on the site differently. Obviously I am a novice and could use some direction. If there is a place on this website that guides one through posting pics, please direct me to the link.

Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

Somehow you managed to upload 9 pics to your personal photo album here on the forum. We can see them here in your album. See here
https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/members/12240-albums823.html

I do see they are rotated. This is a V bulletin software issue that the rotation of the pic is not set to 0 when it is uploaded to the forum.

You can upload more pics direct to your photo album direct from your pc, no need to go to Pinterest

See here for how to upload direct to your album. https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f105/forums-101-posting-accounts-basics-11235-2.html#post87945

And once in the album, you can link them to any posting/thread you want or need to.

Like this. Here is one of them

There are other ways to attach pictures to a post, you link them in with the right format from a photo sever of yours, or you attach them to your post at the end of the post. These are uploaded from your pc, 6 at a time but are only in the post and not in your album. See here https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f105/forums-101-posting-accounts-basics-11235.html#post86041

For you, it may be easier to upload all you need into your album. Then tell people to see your album and or give them a link. Any club member can follow that link to your photo album. You can copy it from above where I linked you

If you want to know how to link the exact pic to your new post from your album, then I can explain that as well. A few more steps, but not that bad. Just tell me if you are using a PC or an IPad as they menus are a little different

To get the orientation of the pics right, after they are taken. I only know how to do this with a software called Irfranview. It is a photo editing software that allows the pics to be rotated and saved with the rotation set to zero that the forum software will then recognize. It is a free software you down load but then you have to set it right to allow the rotation to be set to zero. If this interests you, we can try and help you sort it out, you start by getting the software. See here https://www.irfanview.com/

Or, if wanted, I can fix them from your photo album and post them for you. As long as you do not have 20 or 30 of them.

There are other softwares to rotate pics too, I’m just not fluent with them. You can also only take the pic with your phone in the normal straight up position. That is where the issue starts, your phone is out of its normal 0 rotation and it starts adding rotation commands other then 0 that the forum software cannot change. At least I think that is what is going on. I am not the guru on this, it is a problem for sure as more folks use phone for pics.

Hope all this helps

John
