Sunny Spotting (part two)

Saturday 7/10 we saw a cute tiny one heading north while passing the Gerardstown, WV exit at 1:00. I didn't get a good look at it because I was too busy looking at the cargo plane that was flying 25 feet above us and trying to determine if he was planning to land on I81 or make it to the airport - YIKES!
There's a 1950 (being towed by a white van) in section D of Claytor Lake State park right now. No one has been home for the last 2 days though so haven't spoken with them.

And you didn't stop by and say hello?!?!?! We live 6 miles from the exit!

As far as the plane goes... Depends on which way they were going... The airport is only a mile and a half from the interstate! They are big, aren't they?!?!?!?!

Saw a Sunline today on the Maine Turnpike, it was Southbound at about the 14 mile marker (York) around noon today. I was Northbound so I didn't get a good look but I guessed it was about 27 feet pulled by a dark colored pickup.

Update...
Plane was heading east. I honestly thought we were going to have him landing on I81 until I saw that he was perpendicular to the highway.
The 1950 people waved as they left Claytor Lake...never got to talk to them.
We followed a small older model (about the size and window layout of a 1950) east on the PA turnpike today near Harrisburg. We lost them when we had to stop for fuel.
Not many Sunline sightings considering the number of other RVs we saw. :(

Saw a '03 or '04 2499 just outside of Traverse City, MI today. It was heading north on US-31, probably to turn on to M-72 to head back downstate.

Keep in mind, I wasn't fully awake yet and it caught me off guard because of traffic, so that's why I didn't pick up on the exact striping details to notice the exact year.

Best part was it was being pulled by a Trailblazer. Like to know how that was working out...

Having not been happy towing a QUE with a Trailblazer I'd say not so well !

Saw one East bound on 422 near Pottstown PA today, being towed by a white pick up ( I think a Chevy) It had something weird in the bed of the truck - maybe a ladder?

Got passed by one on I 80 Southbound Sunday 9/27, was being towed by a blue pick up with some type of business labeling on it.

On friday around 6:00 we merged heading west onto the PA turnpike and merged in right behind a Sunline 195SR being towed by a dark blue Avalance. There was a sob (some other brand) in front of him. Don't know if they were traveling together or not, but shortly after we merged the sob in front of the Avalance had a tire blow out. As we were trying to decide how to let the poor guy know before there was complete disaster (his tire was smoking pretty badly) the 195SR pulled into the fast lane and waved him over, then stopped to help him. Our hats off to you for helping another camper in need 195SR!

Anybody here going south on I-75 north of Flint Friday afternoon?
I think it was a T-1950, and i think it was around 4:30. I was too busy looking at the pretty Sunline to notice what was pulling it.

We were at Rocky Gap State Park in Western Maryland for a week..when we were pulling in, there was a Que in Ash Loop... was it one of the SOC members? We were going to unhitch and go say hi...but they left to soon.

We were at Colonel Denning State Park this weekend and noticed a Sunline parked at Clouse Steel Supply on Doubling Gap Rd. Anyone here?

Tell you what...while camping at Fishermans Memorial in Rhode Island a couple weeks back I saw perhaps 7-8 different Sunlines camping there in addition to ours. Many models and years represented and all seemed to be in nice condition. There were a fair number of Sunline dealers out this way so many units are still around these parts. Nice to see actually since we know there no longer being built. May they continue to linger on for many years to come...mine will I garantee that!

I have noticed that since I got a sunline, I see a lot of them...there are two short doubel axle models in Marienville Pa alone....and for the life of me I do not recall the brand back in the day...

Friday October 22 we seen a Sunline Truck Camper going northbound on I-81. Anyone from SOC?

Also there was a 264SR at Douthat State Park in Virginia October 24th.

Sadly looking out my kitchen window & seeing a T-264 SR all wrapped up for the coming winter...mine :-(
