We went into town this evening, to buy back some of the parts that were missing in the T-299SR when we got it last week. The gentleman that we spoke to was very nice and had bought the parts for his Sunline.

Since his was a '78, the parts he got from the 299SR really didn't work too well. While talking to him, he mentioned that his Sunline was for sale. We thoroughly looked it over inside and made a quick walk-around of the outside, in the pouring rain.

The more I thought about it, the more I wanted it. I guess maybe I have Sunline fever now. It's a 1978 17 1/2SB and he wants $400 for it. The camper did have a water leak at one time, but it has been repaired. The ceiling is in rough shape, but we hope to possibly use some of the 299's ceiling in it.

We'll get some pics later, but I just wanted to post the good news about the newest addition to Kitty's Sunline collection. This will make owning three Sunlines at one time for her!

Gary,

I'm really at a loss for words! Well anyways, congrats on the new addition. If you have any questions about it or the older ones in general, let me know.

FYI, the production number was technically 2582. I haven't put it in yet, but from memory I think it was build roughly half way through the model year.

Kitty,

Do you by chance remember what I put on my certificate of origin for the '08?

The whole thing about "Bonnie Young RV Sales" wasn't really meant to be serious!!! But maybe you should start to have some stickers made up...

I can't believe we are bringing home another Sunline. John & Gary better make short work of getting the 299 torn down. We NEED the space. OH, PLEASE don't anyone tell Gary they know where a "Sunspot " is for sale, as that is on his "wish list". This little Sunline needs some work, but it's gonna be mostly cosmetic. The decals are pretty much shot on it, but what are you going to do about 1978 decals. Now, "IF" we get it fixed up, all I'll have to do is convince Gary to sell it. He thinks it would be great for the 2 of us for a quick getaway. HUM, the 320 offers quiet ducted air, a pillow top mattress, space, large sink, space, nice sofa, space, TV I can watch from the pillow top mattress, space, microwave oven, and did I remember to mention SPACE??? And I still have hopes of building a "2010" 320SR, "IF" i ever get done working on the used Sunlines.

Kitty

I'm assuming the model 320SR will be VERY authentic using only real Sunline parts :)

You should be able to get a scrap of rubber roofing and there's a lot of wood you could use.

Jon

Gonna be a real bugger shrinking those windows down to fit in the model. Not sure "where to go to have them "shrunk" Making the wood smaller, well, thats pretty easy.

Gee, where have I heard this before, this sounds just like Cindy when I said lets keep the T2499. We could just do some short camping trips with it. It sort of went like this, " I'm not going back to the little camper now that we have the big camper! I like my space too much...." And yes she did mention space…

OH and since you are breaking your own record for how many Sunlines you can get in a year, how about a pristine condition 2004, T2499?? Can even deliver it? Just think, you already know exactly where to put everything! Just kidding.

I went in the T2499 tonight to get some measurements for another camper friend and I was looking around and said, man... this thing is just too good to let go... it's on Creig’s list now but this time of year, folks don't seem to be acquiring campers so much, at least in Ohio... H'mm I hear in WV Sunlines are selling like hot cakes. Need to advertise down there....

Good luck on your new addition. And we are patiently awaiting the pics! I think you have a good quantity of Sunline OEM parts to fix it up with.

That's a great deal! You certainly have the parts available to really trick that one out and make it real nice.

Kitty,

Sunline Fan might have a full bitmap scan of the 78 logo for reproduction. I think all you'd need to do would be to take the file to a graphics shop and have them print it. Biggest issue I haven't been able to overcome... the cost!

Take care,
Lode
