I currently have my Sunny hooked to shore power at my house. I enjoy being able to go out there and work on it and have it ready so to speak. My question is this...is there any caution or problem with it being left connected to shore for a prolonged period of time...as in say the next month or two for an example? The frig is off, nothing running per se. I will use the fantastic fan on occasion when im there doing something, or plug in a power tool maybe...your comments appreciated since I know it will be a Sunline specific responce.

The only time ours hasn't been plugged in since new in Nov. '06 has been when it's on the road!! Keep an eye on the battery water level and you'll be ok. We also keep the frig on and stocked in season.

Kitty left her 2499 plugged in, whenever she wasn't out camping. We have a 30AMP RV outlet mounted to the side of the garage and the F311SR stays plugged in, while it's here.

OK then...sounds like a good routine. I will keep an eye on my battery too.

Hey Mack...you and I are driving the identical truck..even the same color! Isn't that just the best all around truck though...I love that machine.

It's nice to have it pluged in to have the fridge cold before you take a trip. We store ours away from home now, and it takes a little bit of time to pack everything for the the trip. having it at home makes it alot easier.

We leave ours plugged in almost all summer. Since it is at our home and we also have a 30amp plug on the garage wall. If we could not keep the RV at our home I don't know if we would even keep it. Since my injury in April we have looked and thought about moving to a smaller home but one of the must haves is a place we can also park the RV as we do now. It is too bad there are places that people can not handle seeing an RV from time to time. I do check the battery from time to time and there never seems to be a problem

I think that you're OK as long as you have a robust enough power source that you don't get a big voltage drop. For example, I would not run a 12-gauge extension cord a hundred feet from the house. But plugged into a correctly wired 30 amp outlet, you should be good to go. Checking the battery is always wise, but the charge function in most of the converters I've had is generally not powerful enough to boil out a battery.
