The Shenandoah River State Park Meet and Greet will be held October 9, 10, & 11 th 2015

The Shenandoah River State Park also known Andy Guest State Park is a Virginia State Park and is located on route 340 about 10 miles south of Front Royal, Virginia. It’s a fairly laid back campground to spend a fall week-end in the Shenandoah Valley. The campground has water, electric and a dump station.

Try and sign up early as the campground will fill up in the Fall.
Reservations need to be made thru Reserve America look for Raymond R. "Andy" Guest Jr. Shenandoah River State Park.

Looks like you can't reserve a specific spot but can reserve a spot and be assigned a site on arrival?

What I like is getting Electric and Water in the Shenandoah! We camp up on Skyline drive almost every year and when I was a kid.

Yes, you choose your site when you arrive. All of their sites are large and flat, so it's not a problem for us folks with large trailers.

Hi Jim and Laurie

I am going to suggest the Luray KOA or a camp ground in the Shenandoah National Park.

The Luray KOA has all the amenities and is about 10 miles south of Shenandoah River State Park. There are 3 campgrounds in the SNP Mathews Arm is the closest
Hope you can find a spot. There are several campgrounds closer to Front Royal and also on 340.

Thanks Rich, Not a KOA fan but I'll check it out.

Bought a Gulfstream Class C and in the process of replacing the rubber roof. I don't know if it will be done in time but we still have the Sunline. The plan was to sell it but it's in such excellent shape I hate to part with it....at least not for prices a 1990 camper usually bring.

To all

We have our rig in the RV hospital We blew a tire on the way to the Western New York meet and greet and suffered a quite a bit of damage to our Montana. To make a long story short 1 blown tire = a significant amount of damage to the side of our 5th Wheel. Its now in Brandy Station at the RV repair place awaiting the go ahead from the insurance company. Looks like 4 to 5 weeks.

We are currently looking at alternative solutions.

That's a shame. Hope the repairs go well.

Looks like we won't be making it after all. Laurie has been having scheduling issues at work.

Hi Sunliner's

Barbara and I will not be able to attend the Shenandoah River State Park Meet and Greet even without our trailer. As many of you know Barbara lost her mother last week and there is a service planned for Ruth in Pennsylvania on October 10th.

I hoping we can schedule something for 2016 but we will see.

So sorry Rich and Barb. Seems like many in our group have lost their moms in the last month or so. Our condolences to you and your family.
