Shenandoah River State Park M&G in 2014 Oct 10, 11 & 12 2014
The Meet and Greet in 2014 at the Shenandoah River State Park in Virginia will be held October 10, 11, & 12th 2014

The Shenandoah River State Park also known Andy Guest State Park is located on route 340 about 10 miles south of Front Royal, Virginia. It’s a fairly laid back campground to spend a fall week-end in the Shenandoah Valley. The campground has water, electric and a dump station.

Try and sign up early as the campground will fill up in the Fall.
Reservations need to be made thru Reserve America

Hi everyone

I just made my reservations on Reserve America to morning so the reservation window is open.

Hi, Shenandoah River State Park along with a lot of other VA State Parks will not allow you to reserve sites. They do not as far as I can tell overbook but they do not allow you to reserve sites. Most of the camp sites will take Sunline size trailers and they are relatively close to one another We have not had a problem the past 2 years all getting together.

We just purchased a 2003 Solaris 2475 and love our trailer. We just reserved a spot at Shenandoah State Park and look forward to meeting everyone.

Hi Tourist

Look forward to meeting you at the Fall meet and greet.

Meet and Greet Shenandoah State Park

Being new to these events, is there anything we need to know in advance about the M&G? For instance, what to bring (besides the camping necessities), events that we should be ready for, etc?

Hi everyone
I apologize for the lack of information. YES the M&G is still on.
I plan to be out on Thursday the 9th afternoon. As was mentioned by EMD Driver this will be real laid back event. We will have an ice cream social on Friday evening, Barb and I will supply the Ice Cream. There will be a Potluck on Saturday night. There is canoeing in the river with rentals near-by, antique shops in Luray and New Market, a famous Civil War battlefield and museum and hiking trail both in the park and in the National Forrest. The leaves should be still in color.
I am trying to round up some firewood in the area as Virginia has a ban on moving firewood between counties because of the Emerald Ash Bug.

Had a wonderful time this past weekend. Enjoyed meeting and getting to know everyone. A safe and uneventful 300 mile trip home, and the two Siamese Cats are resting peacefully. We look forward to seeing everyone again.

Also had a wonderful time meeting everyone. Learned a lot of helpful information too.
