Shenandoah River State Park M&G 2013

Rob and Kathy looked into making a reservation for oct 11-13 but there are no sites available for Saturday the 12th. Any suggestions?

Thats the disadvantage of a holiday weekend at a state park....They book up. They do have camping cabins - maybe one of those is avalable. Youd have to call to inquire. for some reason they dont reserve those online. Also, There's a campground a couple miles away. Low Water Bridge Campground
Of course you can keep checking for a cancellation.

Rich, are you planning a Pot Luck for the M & G? Lynn and I will be at Big Meadows Campground in Shenandoah National Park and were thinking we would come down on Saturday since we are only an hour away. Ray

Hi all

Busy summer for me. But I am glad to see interest in the M&G starting to perk up.

Rob and Kathy, There are a number of commercial camp grounds in the area including a very nice KOA down 340 in Luray and a camp ground just north of Front Royal at Riverton as well as some others.Not sure of rates

Ray and Lynn I agree we do need to do a Pot Luck. I'll try and start a Pot Luck sign up thread,

Penny and I will be returning from a week at Tybee Is., Ga., that Friday so we won't be able to make it. Oh well, can't do everything.

I'll bet Tybee Island is really nice in October. I have been there twice once in the summer hot and crowded and once in late winter cool and damp but not so crowded.
