Thinking about getting a seasonal site next summer.

The campground was flooded for several days this year, "completly" under River/who knows what kind of water.

What is the best way to sanatize the spigot. I've read about using a spray solution of water and clorox I belive.

Would like to sanatize the spigot so the water could be used for both cooking as well as drinking.

The water is "City" water as opposed to well water, therefore its treated. Although that won't help the spigot.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks

I think Clorox would be your best bet. I can't imagine the campground wouldn't come through and sanitize everything after the floods though.

I know Buttonwood, where the M&G is held, has some flooding issues on their river side of the campground. They get a team together and move all the trailers to higher ground when it is expected to flood bad so that nothing is lost. I'm not sure what they do to sanitize though.

That's something to keep in mind though, ask if the campground has an evacuation plan if there is another flood. If they don't have a team of workampers or employees to help move them, do they have a call list where they call all the renters to move their stuff in the event of a flood?

This campground is a very low maintance place. I will ask the owner/manager about The water spigot being sanitized etc.

Also I'm thinking about the sewers lines possible being plugged with mud. Hopefully if the caps were tightly on the sewer connections maybe there okay.

I guess just to be on the safe side I could spray the spigot with Clorox, no added water ??

Thanks
