OMG...

I was gone for 3 hours and my dog must have spooked by some bad wind and destroyed the bottom plastic part of my screen door and tore out the new screen I just put in.

In four years of RVing she has NEVER behaved like this.

But my immediate problem is can I even get a replacement for the plastic on the bottom part of the door??

I will have to replace the screen and add one of those grilles or something similar but that plastic part??

Can it be found? Or do I have to find a salvage or plastic and have it cut?

BTW I am in Washington by Port Townsend if anyone knows of a parts place or has any local suggestions

Thanks in advance!

Hey Joan,

I don't think that's anything special, you could put a piece of Plexiglas in there, or just any piece of plastic that fits. You could probably get a piece of Plexiglas close in size at a local hardware store.

Hey There!

There isn't. You on your own, no replacement part

So I went to Home Depot and all the plexiglass they had was too thick to go in the channels. I really didn't want to have to drill holes for screws if I didn't have to so I scoured the aisles to try and find something would work and Eureka! I did. A 4' solid gutter cover.
Cut to size.

But wait! There is more...

Employees at Home Depot cut and replaced it for me!

But wait! there is more...

The same employees also re-screened my screen door AND did not charge me for the materials!! Don't ask me why. I guess the Lord got pity on me:D:D

So then I ordered this grille cover from Camping World as it much more substantial than the Camco one on Amazon

When I get that, I will be good to go!

Thanks for the reply, hope you are doing well. I am coming back to Michigan 2018 late April or May so maybe I will see you at one of the Sunline Rallies!
