It was my fault, as usual overdoing something. I was cleaning the fiver(yup a Sunline fiver) and anyway I was using a heavy concentrate of Simple Green on the underside and wheel wells. Unfortunately I got some of the cleaner on those lower aluminum panels and now they are stained. Warning! Do not spray/apply Simple Green to aluminum, bare/coated/painted. Simple Green is harsh to aluminum. Anyway now the side panels are stained, you cannot see it right away but the Gold colored surface is discolored. Question is, does anybody know the color or type/brand of paint Sunline used on these panels. I figure they were pre-finished panels Sunline bought to specs, so I may have to repaint all the panels for a good color match. Also my year, 2002-03 is a different gold color than newer years. Any help would be appreciated. Also I am going to post some pictures of the trailer and truck soon so those that never have seen a Sunline fiver will be suprised.

Have you tried something like laundry soap or Awesome to get it off? I've had like a staining effect happen before from various things, and trying something else on it might just get rid of it. It might be more of a haze on there instead of staining.

Just a thought...

Hey Capt.,

Sorry to hear of your problems. If it won't wash off, I think I'd be looking at some cans of auto touch up paint, but that's a girls way of doing it HAHA

By the way, I've been meaning to invite you to attend the 3rd annual Sunline Meet n Greet to be held in Mexico, PA.

And believe it or not, you'd be the second, yes 2ND Sunline 5th wheel there.

I also have a 2003 Sunline fiver with the same goldish lower panels. I dinged one of them up in the driveway this season while putting the living room slide out :x . I did talk to another Sunline fiver owner over the summer and I recall him telling me that he was told that the color used on the panels was a Ford color. You may be able to find a piant code for it that way, or just take one to a paint shop and have them color match it. Good luck, let me know how you make out.
