Not so hypotheticall speaking...

Not to mention what the not so hypothetical timing could do to a certain Meet and Greet
Congratulations!!!! :D

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Brad's 2 new little ones will need a friend at the M&G :) Not sure about the QUE for 3 though :( A 195SR would be perfect. Still relatively short, but lots of room for a PackNPlay.

Kathryn & Andrew.

Congratulations.

Tough question – everyone is different. Though I would have to agree with Pam

Congrats Kathryn & Andrew!

So when are you due? Does this mean you won't be coming to the M&G?

I guess you could put a crib in the back part of the Que, but that wouldn't work for very long.

Jon

No worries! We are covered for the M&G. 8) due in mid April, and my family has a history of early deliveries. I do not know if he/she will join us or not, as we do go right by Grandma's on the way there! I am pretty far along, considering we had no idea! I always wondered how women did not know they were pregnant- I TOTALLY get it now! I even joined Weight Watchers bcause I thought I was just getting fat!

As for the new camper..... well, our beloved Grade Cherokee died for good on Saturday  , so we are looking for a new TV anyway. We are not getting what we "want" (in our dreams!) due to the new Sunline Owner on the way, but we are looking in higher towing capacity ranges. I smell a new Sunny in the next couple of years! I was thinking that in the meantime, a small bassionette might fit in the 'hallway' part, or the three of us might fit on the bed, or (and this is my favorite!) baby and I can just kick out Daddy and he can sleep in the old tent!

Don't tempt me, that is what I really want!

That's funny, I joined Weight Watcher because I thought I was pregnant and found out I was Fat!!!!!!

Congratulations Kathryn and Andrew.

As for how much room you'll need, in my experience, kids only take up as much room as you give them. Seriously. Unless you plan to spend entended periods of time inside the camper (and if you're camping, the point is usually to be outside in the new place or enjoying the campground), then you should be able to be a family of three in a QUE for quite awhile. Even though it's intended for two, remember that tenting families can manage in much less space.

In my experience, most parents would be amazed at what they *don't* really need to successfully take kids camping. I went camping with my two nephews (and five or six dogs) for seven years from the time they were 6 and 3 years old. The dogs and the camp in general had more paraphrenalia than the kids did...they each got by for a weekend with a standard daypack, and my 'game bag' -- a 10 x 10" stuffsak full of portable toys like cards, crayons, color books, etc. When they were younger and staying with me, I had and carried with me far less 'stuff' than their mom did...I had a clamp-on high chair, and they played on a basic blanket on the ground or floor until they were old enough to walk. I had a very basic, very portable (and very cheap) umbrella stroller. I had a tote bag I used as a baby bag. When they were old enough to sleep in their own beds, they slept in sleeping bags on my couch...and before that, I had a very small folding crib that doubled as a playpen. You might be able to make an elevated baby area in the bathtub, or use baby gating to create a 'crib/playpen' out of one of the hallways, and the 'adventure' of sleeping on a mat and sleeping bag on the floor will probably work for a long time. As for toys, we went minimalist at my house...blocks, cars, crayons, paper, a couple of simple games, books...and everything fit into a single laundry basket. You can do this, but you do have to think light.

Congratulations...and teach the little one to travel light! ;)

Congrats Kathryn & Andrew!

That was one of the funniest lines I've heard about the weight watchers thing, and then Makers Mark reply was priceless!!!

Good luck, and look at it as a new addition to the family, and the Sunline family now that you'll have to move up in size.
