Newbie to camping

Hi! Just bought a 2000 Sunline T2475. Very new to the whole camping thing and have many questions.

First off, we have a water leak in the bathroom sink where the hot water line connects to the faucet. Any suggestions on how to repair would be appreciated.

Second, does anyone have any recommendations on the type of sway bar to purchase? Our truck already has a towing kit on it. The truck is a 2004 Dodge Dakota 4x4.

Hi yappy, Welcome to the Sunline forum and congrats on the "new" coach.

The plumbing should all be PEX so looking at PEX and fittings at Lowes or Home Depot may help. If it is just one fitting you may want to look at Sharkbite fittings that don't require buying a PEX crimping tool. The Sharkbite fittings just slide onto and lock to the PEX.

Sorry I can't help with a sway bar, I have the Reese Dual Cam that incorporates the sway control with weight distribution but I know others here will give you good advice.

I also have a dual cam setup.

Should be able to reach up and hand tighten. Plastic fitting with rubber insert. Supply connection should look something like this.

Welcome to SOC, Yappy!

Not sure what you want when you say "sway bar" but we're just getting ready to Craigslist our "old" hitch set-up - it is a Husky weight distributing hitch with Draw-tite friction control, complete with shank, weight distributing head, hitch ball, & snap-up brackets, all in good condition. The bars are rated for 1000# tongue weight. All of it is made in the USA. It's a decent set-up & we could've continued to use it on our 2363 but we wanted a Reese WD with dual-cam sway control. We posting this reply so that others can comment on the feasibility of this type of hitch with your T2475 and the Dakota 4x4.

While the hose fitting could be loose, it's also possible that the plastic faucet (or that plastic nut) is cracked. It happens quite a bit since the trailer can see extreme temperatures, and these plastic faucets don't take kindly to having a little extra water left in them after winterizing.

With the plumbing leak, I guess we will have to get a mirror to get a good look under there to check the plastic nut and faucet.

Don't hesitate checking it out. Recently I had a fitting leak by the water heater. That leak which was less than 24 hr. knocked my trailer out of service for the rest of the summer. Ruined all the underbelly insulation, had to tear it all out. This humidity isn't helping things dry.

Plumbing leak will be fixed next week. We found that the entire faucet needs to be replaced because the thread on the hot water side has a hairline crack in it causing the leak.

One issue down...one to go.
