New to a Sunliner and the Forums

Hello all,

Just put a down payment on a T-2570. Haven't got to enjoy it yet cause I had to come back to my civilian contractor job here in Iraq. Next time I go home tho....look out.

Guy on the lot showed me it based on my needs and TV and what sold it for me...the couch! Someplace to sit and relax and maybe watch TV that is not the straight up sitting in the dinette or laying down (sit-laying?) on the bed.

One question I didn't ask b4 I left...the hitch ball for that model needs to be a 2" right?

I hope I grow to love this trailer and it serves me well. So much to learn on how to operate these things tho huh?

Hi Dwayne,

Welcome! If you ever have any questions on operation of anything, don't hesitate to ask. I have to say your 2570 is a pretty rare model in comparison to others, and it's especially rare for 2005. At the end of the 2004 model year they wacked a bunch of underperforming models, and the 2570 did stay on, but only for that year. I only have VIN's for two in '05 and I'm pretty sure I don't have pictures of too many unidentified '05 2570's.

All of your appliances will be pretty much the same as what the rest of us have, so operation is for the most part standard, especially with someone who has a coach of the same model year.

The hitch ball coupler should be 2 5/16". I believe by 2005 all the Sunline's used that size.

Well then, if 2005 2570's are rare in the first place, mine must be even more rare 'cause it is the SE smooth exterior version.

I will have to e-mail the dealer where the unit is stored and ask them what the ball size is.

I will post my pics when I get a chance.

I looked up, I only have one other 2570 that's not VIN identified, and it was at RV World in FL.

Just curious, is the one you're getting from Braun's in Indianapolis? They've had a '05 2570 SE with the Autumn Sunset interior there for a while, and I believe it's brand new.

Well I'll be. Yes it is the 05 2570 SE at Braun's Fun Time Campers in Indy. How did you know? What do you know about that unit? Did I get ripped off? Yes...it was brand new never been sold. I got mega pics of it and I will post them when I get a chance.

I'll try this again...IE locked up the first time and wouldn't react.

Some might say I have magical powers...

When I looked through my database yesterday, I overlooked the fact that the 2570 # 5214 was an SE. I looked through the ~5400 coaches (31205 pictures & PDF files / 7.25 G I have pictures for today and realized there was that one 2570 at Braun's that was an SE. I figured I'd take a chance that it was yours.

I would love to see any other pics you have. This is all I have:

I also don't have the full VIN, I just have the last four from the frame number in the picture.

BTW, that looks like a very nice coach, very well equipped. Right down to the SE, hinged LP cover, aluminum wheels, etc. It even still has the OK to Ship sticker still on there! I'd take that off and make sure it gets into the owner's book.

Basically I have a big database of pictures, VIN's, and numbers tracking info on all Sunline coaches. I've created it over the past couple years and currently have 2417 coaches with VIN's recorded. But I didn't stop there, I also have a big collection of pictures with no VIN's, because the model may be rare and there's not a lot known, any pictures is better than no pictures. It's so advanced at this point that I have a hard time explaining what all I do, so hopefully someone else can try to summarize it a little more.

Hey, that's a nice looking coach! Very good buy! One thing I found on our 2005 2380 is that the shower water supply lines needed a bit of tightening. They were almost tight enough, but not quite.

The ball size should be 2 5/16", and make sure you are using a weight distributing hitch. If you don't have one, or don't know how to use one, do a search here on the forum, there are some seriously informative posts.

Thanks to all for welcoming me to the club. I do hope to get to enjoy my trailer soon. I will be posting pictures as soon as I am able. Time consuming process fromover here in Iraq with the internet providers available.

I DID notice two things wrong with the trailer but they were not deal breakers considering the trailer fit my wants and I got a good deal on it...I think.

1. The frame to the swinging bathroom door bows making the door hard to close at the top and bottom but hard to stay latched since the striker plate bows away from the door. I can prolly plane it down but we shall see.

2. One of the fittings for the shower hose is cracked. Again, I could prolly just replace the hose.

Otherwise it is great. I like the outside vertical storage with the pegboard.

I am from Terre Haute, IN but will prolly settle in Clarksville, TN with the girlfriend and work on Fort Campbell (I hope).

There's unfortunately too much truth to that statement . I hadn't been on vacation yet 24 hours earlier today and already had two more entries of VIN's and was physically inside of one of them already...

Still working on the spoon idea, I think it would be great!
