I bet nobody has heard of this model. I can't find it anywhere online when searching for Sunline models. I bought this from Uncle Sam, FEMA auction, made in 2005, sold as 2006 model. I suspect it was a government ordered trailer, it saw a few months duty in New Orleans after Katrina. Being born and raised in N.O., and now a resident of Memphis for the past 20 years, it was fun to find a menu of a restaurant I love under a seat cushion when i bought it.

The Katrina refuge took fantastic care of her, and I have moved it to my farm to boondock. Great place to stay while we fish or hunt on the weekends. I love the thing. Bought a EU3000is Honda (unbelievably QUIET), runs the AC items no problem, everything works great.

If anybody here knows anything about this TT, a T-30F Solaris (I think the F may stand for FEMA) I would love to hear. I would love any schematics, specs, etc. as I have no manuals. I have explored and learned about the Dometic AC, Atwood stove and furnace, Dometic fridge, etc. online.

Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Wayne

Welcome aboard Wayne, if you haven't already, check out the "files" section. There are lots of .pdf files of manuals, etc. Also, some good tips and checklists.

It's only been recently that FEMA has been auctioning these trailers. So, I doubt anyone is going to have specifics for that trailer, but the components are all pretty much the same as any SUNLINE.

Good luck finding out more info on it and don't forget to post what you find. I'm sure you're not going to be the only one getting these units!

Hi Wayne,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Sunline COACH ownership. Could you try to describe the floor plan? If so, we might be able to match it up to a regular Sunline. I did see a few (all white) Sunlines headed south on I-81 back when the Gov was buying everything they could get their hands on. I'm sure the quality of the coach is the same as any other Sunline, just the extra frills & fancies are missing.

Thanks for the replys - I can't wait for more. It does lack all the frills, but it is still actually nice on the inside. LOOKING FROM THE FRONT, THE BATHROOM IS IN THE BACK CENTER/RIGHT, WITH BUNKS ON THE LEFT REAR. tHEN KITCHEN ON THE RIGHT, (sorry, hit caplock), with a jacknife sofa further forward, and a dinette that folds to bed on left. Linoleum floor (didn't want to clean a carpet) Queen bed up front. A-C, fridge, microwave, gas range w/venthood (gas or electric) furnace (under jackknife couch/bed). 3 windows on left, two on right (emergency exit window on each side included). Which reminds me - Can I use the emergency windows without messing up the seal when I open them, or are they strictly emergency?

I think it has a trailer brake as there is a safety cable. Didn't have a battery or propane tanks. Has leveling jacks also. Other than that it really looks new!

It is white with a gold strip down the side, 30 ft long, and Sunline decal front and rear.

Sorry, another question: the outlet from the gray/black water tanks is missing the proper coupling to connect a bayonnet hose connection to for draining. I am having a hard time finding what I need. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Wayne,

Welcome to the forum! I only learned about what Sunline's FEMA models looked like in the past few months, and I have a few pics. Here they are, just so others can have some idea what it looks like.

Hi Wayne,

Welcome to the Forum and Sunline ownership.

I'm not sure if you're looking for a cap, or the actual end piece with the connectors. But some places to check for camping & trailer supplies are:

Camping World http://www.campingworld.com/index.cfm (of course)

GO-RV.com http://www.go-rv.com/coast/do/chooseState
Check list out http://www.go-rv.com/coast/do/catalog/page?index=A&pageNext=TRUE&dealerId=264&pageNum=412 and look at part # 20106 - is that what you need?

RV Toy Store http://www.rvtoystore.com/index.html

RVUpgrades.com http://www.rvupgradestore.com/

RV Surplus Warehose http://www.rvsurplussalvage.com/index.php

There's a lot of RV Surplus places in Elkhart, IN that do business via phone or internet.

Good luck and enjoy your new trailer.

RE: Photos

Jon,

That is exactly what my trailer looks like!! Only thing missing is the big Sunline stickers front and back. Where in the world did you find the layout, and the photos? That's great! If you have any more info on these please let me know.

Thanks.

Kitty, I agree, Where Jon finds all this cool stuff is amazing.

Hat's off to you Sunline Fan for helping us with all this cool history especialy now that the hope for the factroy is not so sunny any more.

John

Kitty and John,

Thanks for the kind comments! I'd like to know where I find some of this stuff too :D . It's mainly many hours of searching (usually late at night) looking for anything Sunline related. I feel sort of like an archeologist, since I have to search through all the horse stuff (Sunline is the name of a horse), Motorcycle parts, and transit bus info. I must thank Dale Zimmerman again for his prompt answers to all my questions. I have been E-mailing him quite a bit recently trying to cram in all 50 future years of questions all into a couple weeks. I've also been trying to get firm answers as to when an auction is, and I will let all of you know when I find out. At this point, Dale doesn't even know.
