I decided to get a 'winter camper' today. I've been searching for a truck camper for awhile now to use to travel PA in the winter months to watch PIAA wrestling. I'd had in mind to use the travel trailer but foresight has me wary of towing it around in the snow and ice if the weather's inclement.
It was sold to me as an '86' but upon browsing the manuals on file it most resembles a 1984 C-850 floor plan. Was sold to me with no title, no VIN available and I can't find a VIN on it anywhere. The original statistics label inside the closet is basically dilapidated. The only thing decipherable was '86 SSDR'(no idea what this means other than its length of 8'6")... for Jon's records the RVIA # is 248067. The production serial # is 382278. Maybe you could tell me more from the production #?
I need to do a little research on how to go about getting it titled in PA if possible. I mentioned a Bill of Sale to the guy who sold it to me and he had no problem taking care of any paperwork necessary so I don't think it's stolen.
It needs massive TLC and repair work to get things into shape but I went into this knowing what I was getting and what kind of work was ahead. And after all, I know people who have paid more for a tent than what this ended up costing.
Thanks for looking,
Take care,
Jason
