Good Evening and welcome to the group and wonderful world of Sunline ownership. Glad to hear that you are going to the '09 Rally in Mexico, Pa. Let PTHutch know your site number and he'll add you to the attendee list.

Welcome to the club - looking forward to meeting you next year at the Buttonwood M&G.

Close location

Yes ,I am familiar with that area as I did live in Bowmansdale and I work in Harrisburg.I did have a question about Pinchot Park,I see they allow pets at some campsites now, have you stayed there and was it a good park to go to?

Hvolt!:

I've never stayed at Pinchot Park: I can't get excited about going camping so close to my home. However, my brother has camped there on many occasions and he enjoyed his weekends there. The campground has its own beach in addition to the two beaches at the picnic areas on either side of the lake. The lake is popular with both anglers and sail boat owners: No gasoline motors are allowed on the lake.

Welcome!

We also have a 1950 and love it! Looking forward to meeting you at the M&G.

I'm not too far from you, I was up your way a few months ago to go to coleman's surplus for railroad ties, I could spend days up there looking around.

My wife and I went to Pinchot for our maiden voyage this spring as we didn't want to get too far away from home in case of any problems.(Site 315) We had to leave the dog with my mother in law that weekend because all the pet friendly sites with electric had be reserved. Talking to the ranger, she indicated to me those sites go fast through reservations months in advance and are rarely available to walk ins.

The park is nice and typical of the PA state parks I've seen. The hot water at our courtesy facility didn't replentish fast enough on peak hours. That left my wife a little upset, not being able to shower until midnight. I can't say I enjoyed the cold shower, but I survived. There were also some kids running around the loop where we stayed at 1am yelling and screaming. I'm pretty sure it went unaddressed. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. We relaxed and did a little fishing and kayaking. I'd go back again on an urge for some 'spare of the moment' camping.

I enjoy the park and its proximity to me immensely, it has a decent variety of fishing, swimming, boating, hiking, biking, and disc golf. I go to the park a few times a year just for the disc golf. Hope you have a great time!

Welcome to the club.
Take care,
Jason
