Hello,
My name is Ted and I would like to thank you for having me !! I have owned a 1150 Sunline truck camper for the last 14 years. It is the 25th anniversary model with the gray exterior. I live in the south eastern area of Pennsylvania not too awfully far from Denver where it was made I believe. It was originally sold fron the Tom Schaffer Rv sales near Pottsville Pa. It has been a great camper for my wife and I and our three small dogs. It is the basic truck camper with air conditioner with added microwave and stereo system. I have rebuilt the front bunk area due to a leak that rotted out the boards. I used 1/4 inch aluminum angle to make the new box and I must say it came out stronger that original. I did all the work on weekends and It was a challange to say the least.Well, that all I have and hope everyone had a great summer camping and let's get ready for a great fall. can't wait fo go camping with all the great colors we will be getting soon !!!!

Best Regards,
Ted

Welcome Aboard Ted :D

Ditto!!!!

I'm sure you will find lots of info on here but with your re-build - you may be able to share some with us as well!!!!

Welcome

Welcome to the group Ted. This IS the place to be if you own a wonderful Sunline. Lode (aka Jason) is doing a complete rebuild of a his truck camper, so search around and your see pics of his progress.

Speaking of pictures, we are a curious bunch, so if you have pictures we'd love to see them.

Think about joining us at the 2010 SOC Rally to be held at Buttonwood Campfround, Mexico, PA.

Thanks for the reply !!!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome !!!!
Thanks Gary, Paul and Terri, Kathy and Leo, and Kitty !!!
Yes, I did check out Lode's project and I wrote him to explain how his pictures helped me alot and gave me the inspiration to tackle the repair instead of thinking it might be time to find something new. I said to myself here is a guy who found alot wrong but said what the heck I'll just build another one just like it !!! WOW !!! We want to get a fifth wheel next but I will keep the truck camper as long as it stiill stays sturdy enough. I took it to Dover today to get it ready for the races coming up next weekend. I saw another Sunline tag a long on the way and we exchanged waves and thumbs up !!!! I have worked part time for the track for going on fourteen years on race weekends as a weekend warrior. I have on of the neatest jobs as I and eight others are responsible to get the Nascar drivers to their appointments and to there hosptality tent and personal appearences. That is how I got my Sunline in the first place for the races and we started camping in eastern Pennsylvania for the weekend trips also. Joining the club has been great , I just wish I knew about it earlier !!! Well, Thanks again for the welcome. Till next time happy camping !!!

Best Regards
Ted
