Metal Backsplash Tiles

We've put a metal back splash behind the stove top and sink (same wall). They are 6" embossed square tiles, assembled in a pattern. Instructions said to use the 1" double-sticky foam squares that came with them in each corner to mount them. They were great at first, but not now. Seems as thought the heat softens the adhesive bond and they are loosening. We don't run the air in it while it's parked and we're not using it, so it can get kinda warm in there.

Is there anything I can use that will mount them securely and don't have to worry about them coming off? I've tried Zotz sticky dots in the corners of each tile, too. No luck. They seem to soften as well. I have considered criss-crossing double-sticky tape to stick them to, to increase the contact area to the whole perimeter/edges of each tile.

Any tips to keep me from ever having to stick one back up again - once they're installed?

Any time we attached anything to a wall, we've used 3M command strips. In my 4+ years of camping, I have never seen any of them come off the wall. I suppose you could cut the removal tabs off and make them permanent, but they really do work.

We even had a paper towel holder suspended from the cabinet in our F-311SR using command strips. It was there for two summers and did not come down, until we took it down.

+1 on 3M adhesive. The only problem I've had with it is the wallpaper starts to come off. Not so much on the '07, but I did have it happen on older trailers.

I did have my dixie cup holder fall off the wall in the '07 the winter before last, but it didn't tear the paper, it just stretched it/made a bubble. That's heavy and concentrated in a small area though, so putting a few strips on each tile should hold it just fine.

I use Command Strips on various things, too. Unfortunately, these tiles only contact on the edge (since the edges are bent back), and are not flat against the wall. That's my only hesitation I have about using them.

I did try [an appropriate flavor of] Liquid Nails on a couple that have been a problem, and it seems to work ok so far.

I was going to say the 3M Command strips too but now that you say there is very little contact surface, that may present a problem. The ones I have used to hold any kind of weight have had a size that allowed enough contact area to hold the weight.
