OK, I got a few thing done on saturday.

I removed the TV cable from overtop the nightstand, and have routed it down along the one bed. I put a "blank" switchplate cover over the hole.

I am using "cable Covers" for the cable re-routing, they have self-adhesive on them to keep them in place:

Working on getting the dates on my "where I have been Map", it's attached to the plexiglass thats on the screen door.

Hope this helps spark what to do with your Bedroom TV shelf. I sense you are into this as I type. This is what Sunline gave us on our T2499. We do not use it, but it's there.

The 120 plug. Do not know how wiring handy you are or if you have a buddy to help. With the T2499 layout you can add a receptacle up high by the shelf if you come in with the wire from the peg board cabinet. The 120 VAC receptacle would be in the shower wall close to the outside of the TT verses mine in the outside wall. There is no shower in the peg board depth area.

Then the 120 feed wire goes down inside the peg board cabinet by the water pump, then under the shower floor and into under the kitchen sink. Follow the water lines and heat ducts like Sunline did.

From under the sink the 120 breaker panel is right there. Some one knowledgeable in electricity can tie this in for you. Here are 2 shots of the back side of the converter box.

You could even run your antenna cable along the floor like you have started, drill thru to the peg board area and up the inside of the peg board cabinet. Then poke it into the room up high with a nice white plate cover. This way nothing shows running up the wall on the bed room side.

Hi All!

Isn't that clear slider "mod" wonderful....they do make a clear "bar" for the middle section - where we all have the white bar - the one holding the stationary portion in....have seen them advertised just haven't see one to buy one!

John - love what you did with the TV Cable in the 2499.....Leo and I have that on our list of things to do....again pictures are worth a thousand words....now I can SHOW him what it needs to look like....

I have an unexpected day off today (worked too many hours in my 1st two days this week- can only work 20 hours a week and already have in 18 1/2 ) - so we may be able to do some of these "little" projects and scratch them off his "honey do" list!

We are both on ambulance duty today....so we have to make sure whatever we are doing can be dropped quickly!

The bed room TV shelf. I cannot take credit for this. That is direct from Sunline in 2004.

OK, what does your 2007 have?

OR where you talking about the TV cabinet out in the living room area? That one I did do.

PS The curtains are the DW's touch. I just hung them.

Hi John - I was talking about the flush cable connection in the bedroom.....our 2007 has a 5' long cable wire hanging down from where you have a nice flat connection.....we also have the TV "table/stand/whatever you want to call it" in the same location.

Right now we only use one TV so, I want to "tuck or cut all that extra wire and have the connection flat to the wall. We have to use a small cable wire from TV to connection in living room...so why not here.

I will have to "re-teach" myself how to post the photos again.....like I said "pictures are worth 1000 words"...I'm a "show me" person and once you show me I'm good to go!

You should be able to push the 5' of TV cable into the wall. You may want to unscrew the wall plate temporarily to make it easier to push the cable in. Then re-screw the wall plate back in place.

That's what we do with our bedroom TV hook-up, and from John's pictures, it looks like he has pushed his extra TV cable back into the wall also.

Wasn't sure we could push it all in, but we're going to give it a try.
DH decided he had more important "things" to do today, so no work on the Sunline (again) !

Ok so DH found 10 minutes out of his busy day (and it took longer for him to go walk to the TT than the fix itself) to do the TV cable thing! We were able to push (with persuasion) the 5' into the wall.....it sure looks so much nicer!

Gee, every one gets something different out of a pic. Glad it helped.

Mine was just all pushed up in there to start with. Never knew it had 5 feet to it. My goodness, why 5 feet????

BUT, I did go buy a coax to coax connecter and screw it on that cable hanging out. After I jabbed my finger up into that wire sticking out abut 1/4" , ouch that hurts, I had no problem going to the store and buying the connector.

DH had all parts "in stock"....he did body work on a cable company fleet and all sorts of parts fell out of the trucks....he even had the face plate & backing nut.


Oh he was quite surprised to hear that you needed to run electric up top....on the 07 it s already there.

I think Sunline put 5 feet of cable on there so it wouldn't rip out when people like me forget to take the TV off the shelf when moving the TT. Yes, I did forget to take the TV off the top shelf above the refer in my 2363. I was road-testing it for some reason and I forgot to take it down. That just had a wall plate and it ripped the wall plate right out. Didn't really do any damage to the wood panel, which was good, but the hardest part was finding a replacement wall plate- one with the fancy circuit board on the back, but no 12V port. They are impossible to come by and I ended up making something up to make it work. The amazing thing is is the TV still works. It was fine after the fall! I think the cords are what saved it.

Thanks for the tip about pushing the cord into the wall. Our 2653 used to have that cord in the back bedroom, but it always hung out about 12". I was too young and stupid to know any different at the time, but I don't know why my parents didn't fix that. I remember my mom used to use that shelf (and the rear window valance) for curlers and make-up in the morning, because the TV would get moved up front from it being in the back the previous night (when I actually went to bed early- I could only wish now!).

Maybe this was lost in the translation. Kitty's T2499 has a custom bedroom and they put the TV cable and 120 plug up on the front wall. She was the one wanted to turn her head around and watch TV like the rest of us T2499 owners. Or at least those that watch TV in bed....

My 2004 T2499 comes with shelf, cable and 120V plug allready in place. And now I have learned 5 feet of cable stuffed in the wall....


That now sounds like from Jon is a rescue cord.....

Thanks for the wonderful idea. I took a quick look at my storage/peg board area, and I think you have given me the perfect solution. I can do the cable wiring with no problem. Now, the electrical, well, that may be a different story, Actually, there is an electrical outlet at the foot of the bed (remember, my bed is backwards compared to everyone elses), SO, I "may" be able to tap into that an take it into the storage area. Might make time to work on it a bit tomorrow. Need to get these projects done, as I plan to be on the road on or before July 10th. Will keep you posted, with pics.

We don't have a TV in the bedroom of our 2499. We find that placing a small table top fan on that shelf moves the air in the bedroom nicely.
