I'm looking to replace the kitchen section of my 13ft 1987 Sunline trailer. Does anyone know where to look for or find one?

Hi, and Welcome Kimtbo!

Not sure how much of the kitchen you want to redo, but this may help. You can find the commercial-made parts online or at some local RV stores, like the sink, faucets, range, microwave, and fridge. You can also go to the big box lumber stores for specific items if they apply/fit.

RV Kitchen sinks, here are two places as a start; there are many more out there. A standard home-style faucet will fit the hole patterns.

For the stove, microwave, and fridge, tell us some about what you are after; they can get costly, pending your wants and budget.

Now to the cabinets and countertops, these were all custom-made by Sunline and still are by other RV manufacturers, so finding lightweight RV-style cabinets will be more complex. I have made them myself, and they are built differently than a home-style cabinet you buy at the lumber yard. While the fronts look the same, the framework is all different. RV cabinets are built into the camper; they are not free-standing, with sides and backs to them. They are more of a framework. This is all to save weight.

New cabinets are very doable if you can access someone who does woodworking at a reasonable cost. Just make sure they are not built heavy, or you will lose a lot of cargo capacity and can overload the camper. If the camper never moves, like on a seasonal site, then the weight is not as much of a concern. If you still have your old cabinets, have your woodworker look at how they are built; he can, for sure, reproduce them in whatever style your want.

I hope this gets you started. Ask away for more.

Here are a few posts that come to mind quickly on others who have redone the kitchen.

Frank made the whole camper; this link will drop you into the cabinet-making process; go forward a few pages as well.

Mainah did a kitchen makeover on his camper, but I can't find the post with the pics of it. He did a great job and changed the countertop, stove, and, I think, the cabinet fronts; it was a total transformation without starting over.

This post of his on the flooring shows some of the makeover. If he is reading this, maybe he can post his pics. https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f65/more-stuff-on-a-old-camper-16496.html

LOL. I just ripped out my kitchen from my 13' trailer and replaced it with a seating area as I only cook outdoors, and wanted to reclaim the space so I can sit down without having to break down the sleeping area. I've got the water heater, the sink and the burners taking up space in the garage. You are welcome to them if you want.
