We purchased our T-1950 last November after spending about 6 months looking at trailers. This is our first TT and we feel we were very fortunate to choose a Sunline since we are newcomers to camping and RV's. So far, we did one trip last Thankgiving to Harper's Ferry, WV, and are looking forward to many more. Under consideration now is a trip to Bar Harbor, ME, in July.

We are new to Sunline as well. Still waiting to use our camper the first time.
We are planning to be in Bar Harbor Maine at the end of July. Up along the coast. We are looking at staying at the KOA at Bar Harbor Aug. 1-3.

We'll be in Bar Harbor July 11 thru July 18 at the Bar Harbor KOA and then plan to work our way back to Maryland to be home July 22. Since we need to be in sourtwestern PA for my niece's wedding July 7, it is quite a trip to Bar Harbor and we're planning on spending at least 2 nights on the road traveling about 300 miles per day. Does this seem too ambitious for pulling a trailer? Routing will be using the PA turnpike and then 81 to 80 the first night.

I don't think 300 miles is too ambitious. Whatever distance you would normally drive solo will be suitable for towing your trailer. I prefer to get an early start in the morning so I can get to my destination during daylight hours: I don't enjoy setting up my trailer in the dark. Our last trip was from York, PA to Plymouth, MA in one day. We've gone from York, PA to Williamsburg, VA or Roanoke Island, NC in a given day. I would not want to stretch it much further than these destinations in one day.

I was in Maine in September 2005 for a month. I stayed around Acadia NP, which is a couple miles from Bar Harbor (no campgrounds in the town of Bar Harbor). I stayed at the KOA on an oceanfront site for three nights then moved to Bar Harbor campground, which is closer to Acadia. I like Bar Harbor campground way more then the KOA. It was cheaper and the sites where nicer. At the KOA, several of the sites are in a big field like area and the sites are right on top of each other. The oceanfront sites can be bigger, but ran $75 plus in September. Not the case at Bar Harbor campground.

Hope this helps! Oh, go to the old car museum there on Mt. Desert Island. It is fantastic!
